Embarrassing makes the club look Micky Mouse.

A really good gater and particularly good at home away in the top 5 will be difficult for him be interesting to see how he copes. But you really have to admire Lewis what character and dedication he must have to comeback from those horrendous crashes good luck to him.

I lost alot of interest in Speedway from 1990 until 96 Ove, i still went to the Abbey everyweek but was not enjoying it.Then Tomasz and Jason Crump come on the scene and both revived my interest in the sport such a shame what has happened to him and i pray this new treatment he is having works for him.

Remember seeing Mark as a mascot and then like Tatum,Screen,Doncaster thrown straight in the deep end.I think when he dropped down a league his career changed that then set him on a upwards spiral in way he reminded me of Peter Collins his gating not the best busting a gut often coming from the back.

Erik and Tommy had there successe's against Nielsen at Cowley Blackbird/!Thorp/ Doncaster won the odd race here and there otherwise Hans took the p..., great rider no doubt a great advert for speedway as well.
-
Did you ever think Gavan Mark would be a world champ? when you have a affinity with a rider it is special .I did with a lower/ Lesser rider but when they do well it is great Loram god he was exciting to watch he put bums on seats.
-
Or Ole in 1982 Vetlanda with Bo/Erik.
-
Nothing beats Wembley for me the atmosphere was electric looking back you are right Vince some of the racing was bang average. The dusty 1975 final was a farce but Olsen was majestic on the night .And the 81 Penhall final was pretty good Len Silver did produce a good track that night Knudsen was classy come of age that night.

Nilsen rode a perfect race Steve but was just outwitted, Gollob was a special talent.
-
I think the fans reaction really shook Bruce up after that race Sam.Was it cheating or was it gamesmanship who knows i really liked White City but it was sometimes slick though.
-
A race you should be remember??? The overseas Final Hyde Rd 1983 Andy Grahame, S.Moran, Lee, Phil Collins a great race Phil Collins deservedly ended up winning the meeting.
-
I have always wanted the 1983 BLRC on dvd i dont think it was televised .Lee got a duck egg first time out got filled in then ended up taking Hans to the cleaners and getting second behind Erik a great meeting.
-
1999 Gollob v Nilsen what a race, how Gollob avoided going through the fence on the last two bends god knows.
-
Died in 1982 Steve handy rider.
-
Did Briggo leave a gap Vince ?? or was Bernie to hard?? and what does your gut feeling tell you would Briggo of gone on and been World champ in 1972.?
-
Remember reading Paulson actually beating a peak Ivan in heat 1 once, at Hyde Rd that took some doing.
-
I didnt think you were aloud to have an opinion.?
-
Madness when will the Lynn fans know there team ? maybe they will have the press day behind closed doors. This situation sums up British speedway at the moment, in the three years in which Chapman was appointed how many statements has he made about his vision for the sport.?
-
Swindon v Belle Vue 2008 Adams 2. Crumpie 1 three great races i remember Jason taking Adams from the back in heat 1.Then later on Leigh getting his revenge one of the races Crump was all over him but Leigh stood firm.

I actually think when you have an association with a rider Gavan sometimes we can be even more critical.Loram was worth the entrance money alone great value also a great ambassador for the sport. -
Jim Tebby beating Ivan Mauger at Wimbledon has to be up there moments like that made speedway special.
-
Chris Morton's pass of Kenny Carter in the 1983 NLRC at Hyde Rd was a majestic one.

Rickardsson is recognized by better judges than you and i to be possibly the greatest rider ever.Personally he was not one of my favourite's he had plenty of heat wins high averages (ect) plenty of breathtaking rides and bearing in mind his main strength was his personality and temperament. It is only my opinion for what it is worth GET over it trott on. -
Would the Craven v Fundin clashes rank high up what a treat maybe Norbold, Ove Fundin fan , Aces 69 could help.?
-
Two races that stick out for me are Rolf Gramstad beating Ivan Mauger in the 1979 Swindon v Hull meeting and Malcolm Holloway beating Shawn Moran and getting a 12 point max in the 1982 Swindon v Sheffield fixture.
