King's Lynn V Swindon 20th July 7.30pm
Hornsey replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yes, definitely a must-win for both teams. KL seem to be in a bit of form and the Robbins were shocking at Wolves, so it's a home win for me -

Maybe not, but we will get 3 precious league points and that will do nicely -
Lakeside V Poole Friday 1st July

Well, I am still looking forward to it, as it has been ages since the last home match. You can only beat what is infront of you and I will be happy if the boys do that tonight. Up the Hammers! -
Swindon V Lakeside 16/06.
Hornsey replied to Sidney the robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
AJ scored 5 last time we were at Swindon and Cook scored 4. Cook has hit a bit of form since then, so probably not a bad choice. We will miss Kim though, who top-scored with 11+1 last time out. Looks like an easy home win on paper, but if Leicester can win there.... Up the Hammers! -
Fair point, but the form of Bridger will be crucial. If he goes well, then he will get 7 rides, which will cover quite a few of the gaps. He did well at King's Lynn last night. I would expect AJ, Lawson and Kerr to go well, all being used to big tracks. It can't hurt lakeside's chances that BV have only had 2 home meetings so far. It should be an interesting tussle. I would take a point quite happily. Up the Hammers !

Lakeside Hammers V Wolverhampton Wolves - 1 June On Sky
Hornsey replied to TonyE's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It was a tremendous meeting for Lakeside fans. The amount of passing was just excellent. The track staff should take a bow for coming up with a track like that after such terrible weather. Home form has been great this year, with a never say die attitude from the riders. Up the Hammers!! -

Lakeside Hammers V Wolverhampton Wolves - 1 June On Sky

I am concerned about the weather for this one. If it rains all day, it may be postponed . If it isn't, a wet track usually cancels out any home track advantage, so it could be a lot closer than in normal circumstances. -
Seems like a good move to bring Eddie Kennett back into the team- We certainly need a boost in the away matches and Eddie has been in great form for Rye House. Up the Hammers!

I think you'll find no rain forecast during the meeting at Coventry http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2652221 so not the same thing at all. Mindless rants do little but confirm a mindless post. Speedway is a Business and it means no income if a meeting is called off. So, I am sure this was not done lightly. Hopefully the weather will be kinder for the re-staging. Up the Hammers!

Great news that Sky are showing so much Speedway. Is there a link that shows what is coming up? I can't find it! Thanks lee

Fighting back from 6 points down last week was one of the most enjoyable meetings I have had the pleasure to witness at the raceway in the last 24 years and will certainly make us a good choice for televised meetings.. Sky have certainly picked what should be two cracking meetings- Belle Vue and Wolves both look strong and, along with us and Poole are likely to be the four teams in the playoffs come the end of the season. Swindon might get a look in though- Tonight's televised meeting should give a good indication of how they are likely to fare. Hopefully Sky will also show some of our away meetings as well. Up The Hammers!

Lakeside V Leicester 1st April
Hornsey replied to Hornsey's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
So, here we are, with you moaning about a Manager that isn't even there anymore. In any case, Neil Vatcher couldn't ride the track for Adam, so your ranting comes across as both pointless and out of date. Voice of (T)reason, isn't it about time you stopped living in the past, looked to the future and let some of your overwhelming bitterness go and started supporting your alleged team, rather than posting negative twaddle at regular intervals? Up the Hammers! -
This could be an interesting meeting- Ellis is riding in place of Auty (I believe). Despite his experience of the track, Adam didn't score too well last season. Hopefully Mear will continue his staggering form and Kerr will get dialled in. We should outscore them in the body of the team, so can't see beyond a reasonably comfortable home win by 10. Up the Hammers!

King's Lynn V Lakeside 24/03/16
Hornsey replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The first away meeting is hardly "the acid test for Tatum's worth" and it's pretty disingenuous to suggest otherwise. It's a shame you are so bitter about a team you claim to support. The match would have been easier ( for Lakeside) with Batch riding, but we do have a secret weapon with Kerr being able to take extra rides on a track he should know well. I think it will be a tight affair and I would be happy to see us nick a point. -
I thought the crowd was pretty decent, but it is hard to tell. I thought Swidders looked good- He did make the top 4. Not bad for a chap on his low average. Can't wait to see how we get on come Friday. Up the Hammers
-
I thought everyone looked pretty sharp. Even our reserves looked on the pace and I am sure they won't have such stiff opposition in a normal league meeting. Early days, but the Play offs should be manageable and then, well, who knows Up the Hammers!
-
I would imagine that they have worked out how fast the engines need to go, so perhaps we should see how Plan A pans out first. In any case, having the backing of a company (revolution racing) should ensure that the equipment is tip top. Roll on 8pm tonight. Up the Hammers!
-
We are 20/1 on Skybet- got to be worth an each way punt, I reckon. At least we have some spare riders lined up if there are any injuries
-
Hopefully, it will be just after we beat Poole in the second leg of the play off final
-
Very decent of him and could also be a good idea career-wise. if he goes well, he is almost certain to be signed by a UK club- Assuming that he hasn't been, already
