May be I was a bit harsh on the lack of communication its only that I do the club and suppose needed to know it is safe and moving to new premises by the sound of it happy days. re the playoff on Friday decent guest at no 1 and should take a lead to belle vue next week.and lets hope all the moaning minnies on here turn up on Friday an put their money where their mouths are COYH.
-
if that's the case then happy days but why are the fans the last to know again
-
Looks like we still will make the playoffs as mildenhall can only get 2 of their 3 meetings and cradley 1 of their 2 in before the cut off next sunday and they are all away. don't really feel we deserve to make them really with a four man team and the lucklustre away performances. if we do then I feel sorry for them as they do try but must try to change both reserves and a new rider at no 2 then we might do ok
-
must agree not a great meeting yesterday but as the saying goes you can only beat whats put in front of you. the crowd was the lowest or very close to I have seen over the arena the crowds have dwindled over the last few meetings so I can understand why jon says its not viable things must be bad if we cant pay the £3/400 for the sound system. on a happier note just glad we are carrying on next season in whatever format as I was worried this year would be the last. and jons interview yesterday there is still a glimmer of hope on our own stadium. but I do feel there needs to be better communication at what is going on as the loyal fans like myself seem to be left out in the cold.

Goes from bad to worse now we have no ben and of course zac on Friday as riding for rye that's a guaranteed 25/30 points we have got to make up can someone tell me how rye and Newcastle get first dippings on ben and alfie when they only signed for them mid season and they have been with us from the off the playoffs look a long way away now if we cant get a settled side for the run in

Mildenhall V Lakeside - Sunday 20th August.

I was there and must agree that it is time to make a couple of changes nick started out ok but the last couple of months he seems to have lost confidence big time just scoring 1 or 2 points and not looking comfortable at all coming of the gas at every bend and ending up the length of the straight behind everyone else also you can see the pits from where we were and seemed to be no team spirit at all looked like jon was not there and kelvin didn't seem to be that interested and had his rucksack on ready to shoot before tapes up last race no team talk then?. we do need to strengthen if we are to make the playoffs a new 2nd string and 1 reserve I might have to stop going away as the last dozen or so I have been we have been trounced maybe I am bad luck well I am known as lucky dave. defo something not right with this as we can see plenty of dates free and if most of the reason is riders in senior leagues then surely belle vue should have fallen on their sword as the have more than us. as I have said lot going on behind the scenes of which I heard were positive but the lack of communication and this debarcle then maybe not just hope its not terminal.
-
I agree fans should know and if nothing comes to pass in the next few weeks then i will be the first to show my distaste as agreed it has happened too often but i do feel there is something deep going on as there is some sort of grief with zacs replacement lets wait and see.
-
There is a lot more going on behind the scene then anyone realises a lot of which is positive i have heard so please lay off jon & co as they cannot reveal any thing until all is in stone which is common practice in business talks. also remember a few weeks ago jon in an interview at the track said there was some exciting news hopefully in a month or so . i must admit though that pulling out the KOC does seem a bit funny but then again there is proberly a valid reason for it will have to wait and see regarding track and attendance track is done with less than half of the staff it was when in the prem just goes to prove that some were only after the free pass my two children have been ground staff for years and all there at the moment do a fantastic job and i help out when i can and still pay my entrance fee dont expect everyone to do the same but a bit of help now and again wouldnt go a miss as the saturday and sunday meetings which a lot of people ask for save the m25 on fridays are a problem as i have had to go early afternoon as not enough staff to put up the track let alone take it down saturday the worst as cant start putting up till after 3pm as stock car pratice. so please people stop moaning and get behind your club now as i am sure you will all be the first if we do get our own stadia and return to the PREM aswell as NL i would of thought UP THE HAMMERS
-
Did anyone one go to the meet the team on Friday as no real update on the web page and pics do not show any fans? was it a bad turnout.
-
Now Fricke at BV that's most of the aussies with two rides the prem has only 25 out of 56 brit riders the champ 40 out of 70 bit better but not good enough missed a trick here as with most promotions at long last realising how the so called foreign big guns were all just money grabbers, had a chance to get the brits up to speed but no the likes of danny king Richard Lawson ritche Worrall and others have just 1 ride in the championship all I can say is well done rye house 6 brits and Swindon 3 young brits given a chance the rest need to take a hard look if they want BRITISH speedway to grow and flourish and become the sport we all really want and just to finish team GB have done fitness and training camps with more to follow but now most of the team wont be riding enough to reap the rewards joke really.

Hopefully king for the last place or that means no ride for the reigning british champ bit of a joke if not
-
yes of course your entitled to your views but do you really need to spit such bile? re the future you don't like jon that's up to you but I feel with kelvin staying onboard then there must be something in the pipeline and remember Thurrock council should be involved so maybe not such a big layout after all
-
I will admit I was not sure about the NL but will defo give it a go as everyone at the club is very possitve I think this is just a stop gap for the club as I was not at the track staff meeting but jon and kelvin were there and were very upbeat about the future and this is me but reading between the lines our own stadium few years down the line is looking more like happening so we will run in both PL and NL Re the moaners on here don't go then but don't try to put others off and keep your negative comments to yourselves you muppets (not what I would like to put).
-
sky are over reaching its self with more and more darts and the 1 billion its stumping up for the football they are losing a lot of sports at the moment but BT is good for speedway I feel better coverage by far skys started looking like bargain basement last year so onwards and upwards for the new season
-
Looks a decent team get the track right and you could well have a good season. kim will always give it his all
-
tractor racing that's just track grading surely parking not optional if you have to drive.
-
just looking at who has their prices up for next year and must admit yours is a bit steep about £25/26 for admission seat parking and programme good job 1,m a southern softy
-
Good signings anyone know their points? great to have an asset and ben is a great kid would think their points are high so only 8/9 points left for final 3.
-
oh dear not much interest on here at the moment hope that's not a sign of next seasons meetings. must say that NL does not really get me going but will try to get into to it and keep the faith that we will get back in the PL even if we don't end up with our own stadium. but to be honest if we are running on Saturdays I will be torn as rye house looks a better prospect and all my families favourite riders are there.
-
Ben morely and rob mear the two known signings I think then zac never know adam and mark owen if his busted leg heals in time
-
NL it is lets hope it gets the backing the promotion deserve

Does British Speedway Have Future?
HAMMER180 replied to Pieman72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
speedway will survive just needs local councils and government to come good on all the promises they make.there is a twice yearly I think meetings at the houses of parliament with MPS so hopefully that will bear some fruit. but the main thing is for the fans to stop moaning about everything their promoters do and everything the BSPA try to change.so stand up and be counted or put your hand in your own pockets and try to make things better and stop slagging off the ones that do. AND YES IT IS A FAMILY SPORT. -
Very quiet on here? oh that's right all on every other teams threads boring the crap out of everybody. seen some posts bigging up your 2 heat leaders beware as both KK and HA can go AWOL at any time so wouldn't big them up too much. And when they do hope holder and magic tell ford where to go when he comes calling.
-
IMO wouldn't get to excited both HANS and KK can go missing at anytime both confidence riders plus its not the best team by far.
