Get real all the haters and moaners the Bates family and Peter Mole have put in 1000s to keep Sheffield in a league. Ive seen it first hand all the under handed shanigans from certain promoters against them and the hard work they have put into Sheffield speedway. Most people would have given up I can assure you. The Bates family not only put allot of personal money into league racing but money into UK rider development in the world u21 meetings. Give them a break haters, in fact I urge you all to fill their PM and email boxes with praise for what they have achieved over the past three years as they have sacrificed more than you can imagine. I've stoped going to Scunny as Sunday doesn't fit with me after mid June, track looks like a qwogmire most of the time and Rob screaming on the Mike trying to influence a refs decision really spoils it. Bring Friday nights back and myself and two or three mates will go most weeks.

Been to the meeting tonight and thoroughly enjoyed my first visit for weeks. Glasgow were matching sheffield for 11 heats then the flood gates opened. Lawson was not himself tonight, Worral was crap, Campton was good, summers was average but did TRY, smith was as good as I thought he would be and Tom Perry was better than two!!! Scrabble man was oysum, Baby B was wider than the wicker arches, Josh Bates rode well but his gating let him down, howarth was just brilliant, Graverson was really impressive and worth more points and young Georgie tried for four laps in every race!!!! For only one point but he was on the pace in his races. Very impressed with him. Big difference for me was management,,,, stead was buzzing around his riders. Glasgow just stood at the fence without allot of interaction. Well done both teams I enjoyed my evening

JPB was treated exceptionally well off season and during but chose to spit his big dummy out. Treating his many sponsors with allot of disrespect. Never want the Joker again in any Sheffield team. As for Georgie, the lads got passion and is a very pleasant lad that will do well. IMHO the whole package is better than JPB.
