  1. Went to the meeting at Rye House and it was nice to see the changes they are putting in to the stadium but i have to say the racing was poor for both meetings but there was no atmosphere and it was I have to say as a promotion pretty shameful event. I also think the Pl match we not much better, the racing was very much follow my leader and not exciting at all, Ed Kennett was a master in his first race. Jake Knight looked as if he would have got a few more points if it was not so slick and a blue line on the inside, Eastbourne was on the first part of the double header would have been better for both sides. Perks has started to find a bit of his old form at last so it will be nice to see him amongst the points and have to say Charlie Powell has turned the corner and a very impressive ride leading his last ride until he came to grief mainly because of the track conditions. Eastbourne’s looking to be a good side again loved the celebrations at Eastbourne on Saturday i would say thats the difference between Eastbourne and Rye is the team bonding and how well they all get on with each other and its nice to see that back in the camp again. were as its not like that at Rye House, i did catch Connor Dugard talking to Leek and pointing a few problems out during the meeting while watching a race they were standing in the grandstand and he was trying to help him with some advice, just shows things are bad when your helping the home team get around there own track.
  2. Thats done it, Look what i woke up to this morning on Twitter from the ITFirstEagles, i am now going to have to get myself a new dress, shoes, earings, for the night of all nights, well done to Eastbourne speedway and the sponsor for making it happen. I missed the last years awards as i was not a true fan but i always wanted to have a look at the inside of the Grand Hotel, lets hit the music and make the night dance away. ITFirstEagles ‏@ITFirstEagles They've only gone and done it! A massive thank you to our sponsors @it_first who have secured the @GrandBrighton for our Awards Evening! any idea about tickets?
  3. Well we are not the best at the moment but we are stepping up the ladder every week we are getting stonger, When Brennan is ready that will be another winner for the Club, I have heard that he is going to Poole on Matt Fords books and then coming to Eastbourne? So he must have something if Matt is interested.
  4. Looking forward to Sky Tv tonight to watch Poole and Belle Vue and watch Adam tonight, cant wait to see the Eagles in action on saturday night again its been a long time with out a fixture, then off to Rye House bank Holiday which i can watch Ed Kennett around his home track not sure if i want to go to Birmingham as i dont really like the drive there as its so hit and miss. Will be interesting how close the Cradley boys will push the Eagles this week i think looking at it the Eagles are stronger from 1-7 plus i am looking to see the local lad Gary Cottham to have a ride. So what else is new with the Eagles as its gone very quite on the speedway front, is there any updates on Richard Andrews as i have seen that he is not racing at the moment is he fit or what as nobody has ever said whats the matter with him? just a suspected broken wrist. I also found out that Perks wand Knight were having a spin at the weekend so thats good to keep them in track action and a good few points from Perks shows he has got it in him. a real nice guy too.
  5. Had a great night a Belle Vue on Friday took me most of Saturday to get over it but have to say a simply drive home was nice on the M1 apart from the road works, Janke Knight was the man of the meeting for me. i have become a JK fan, good to see some great races and have to say that Belle Vue will be come the NSS for the right reason, was good to see Brennan and Bickley having a spin after the meeting, Nice to see how Brennan was able to pull away from bickley after only doing a few laps on the track. Harris looks to be at the right level moving to reserve fair play to him for that and improving all the time, Charlie looks very awkward on a bike at the moment seems he stands up a lot more then most? but never the less he managed to get a few more points then i thought which is great. Brandford didnt do the job of Ellis but a few more points would have been nice saying that if Bewley was there is might have been another story but over all it was a good night of speedway and i really enjoyed it. well done to both sides.
  6. Disappointed that we had no George wood. Was it a question of he couldn't make it or couldn't be bothered. I left Bromley at 1pm went the longer way around dartford m1 and across the hills into Belle Vue. 5 hours it took me with a stop. Loved the new track racing was good a few fantastic rides from jake. Brennan looked hot after the meeting faster than Powell and Harris. If I was in charge it would be out woods in with Richard Hall and then float till Brennan is ready. I was home by 1:30 which I was pleased about. Might go back to watch lakeside up there in the league.
  7. Really looking forward to the watching at Belle Vue tomorrow, I am dissapointed that Perks is not there as i think thats his sort of track, also will be nice to see how the real home of speedway will look and how nice it will be for the future of speedway. I have a good feeling about this one and wish the boys all the Luck for tomorrow, hope Georgie gets going as i think this is the turn around for us as a team, its nice to be a bit more stable and really looking forward to the cradley match in a few weeks time.
  8. i am very pleased that Adam is staying with the Eagles, now thats a big step forward for me knowing that i can enjoy the team as its now starting to settle down, Ellis and Knight are box office and this level, I had a chat with Perks the other day and i found him quite rude in one way but also very friendly in another if that makes sence, I asked him a few questions like you do and it was bang bang in my face with an answer, i found that quite rude but then i realised that it was all a nervous tension and not having a problem to face up to new people, after a few minutes when i got talking to him he relaxed and one of the nicest riders i have ever talked to and i have to say he must be the most miss understood rider ever. Ellis is a Polite and very kind hearted but with the will to win, when this kid clicks he will be fantastic, have to forget about the first 2 minutes you meet him, he is a very nice guy with a big wall in front of him that can be taken down to reveal a really deep soul, he is miss understood give him a chance and you will see him come to life. I have a feeling his is going to be our secret weapon.
  9. Or a Jan O Pederson, Dave Jessup all great stars and have to say a light weight means he will go fast. Seems to be the hard work from Vatcher is starting to pay off.
  10. I see Brennan has very good sponsors and will be looked after by the Hagon company and i see he has wessex marine on his side as well, i have to say i have always seen his equipment looking smart and very outstanding but not loud in your face, also being very light helps him and as Sidney the robin said he seems to go very well around all the tracks, i would say he is a big danger to league for scoring points if Eastbourne put him in straight away. watch out for this Kid i rate him along with Rico and Bridger.
  11. Have to say you may be right but the lucky has got to change soon for the Eagles. i guess thats going to be about July time when its Brennans Birthday
  12. Well done to all the riders in the meeting at Scunthorpe, Fast times by Tom Breannan making it look easy against his rival in Bickley. i think this youngster will be the one to watch? didnt really know much about him until he was doing the races at Lakeside before the meetings a few years ago. i have followed his progress since the best i can but i can see that he is going to be another Robert Lambert.
  13. Well done to both sussex Lads and a very impressive times by Tom Brennan faster then some of the PL races, i cant wait to see him race later in the year. Also to Nathan Ablitt i was told he was a few steps above the other riders,
  14. Good news for Kent all the hard work is starting to pay off and seems that the team are doing well and Mr Silver hats off to you Sir as you have done a great job at Kent and the speedway world.
  15. Interesting reply but maybe you can see that we are all trying to be constructive and it only takes 1 person to make life hard work when its not ment to be that hard. but its good to Know that we are all talking about Eastbourne with the amount of number of people that read this forum. Roll on Speedway, where is the next meeting and what is the bottom end of the team going to be?
  16. Good way of thinking, but have to say very open minded are you sure your a speedway fan lol, if you want to be good you have to beat the best and ride with the best, thats why years ago they all came to England to race, now thats has changed and they all go to Poland to race so we have to use the best of the best of British (Adam Ellis)
  17. Last year the League was sponsored by the Coventry gearbox company "City gearbox" but i have a feeling it was along the lines of £500 per track which personally i think was not enough but i cant be sure on that, so lets say it was £5000 for 100 speedway meetings or 70 riders to have your logo on the suit means they have paid each rider £71 or £1 per race for the year. Not a bad deal really, Our Building company could afford that, wonder what James has put up for this Season would love to know, For the whole of the league of NL but as he said has no rule book and the fact that he does not like good riders in it for some reason i would pop a guess at £2500 or £250 per club or £36 a rider or 10 pints of beer. a Joke really and James Easter really has done himself no good at all today. Wont be going with him on Tour now. I be happy to pay extra money to go to Eastbourne to watch Adam, Class act and comes with no probelms, the worry has gone away for heat 13 and 15 for me now
  18. OMG what a stupid thing to say, at least keep it to yourself and not post it on the internet, Maybe James Easter should write a retraction and apologize to Eastbourne, Adam and the League. What a big mistake to make and as a league sponsor as well. tut tut tut
  19. From what i can see i think Dugard now knows what or how important 3 point riders are. Kent last year was in the same problems and managed to drag themself through the league but Eastbourne are doing the same, Unless there is a 3 point rider that nobody has thought of i guess its not going to get much better for them, If they do find someone to replace any one of the 3 pointers they may just step up the game again. I have watched the way the new generation of Dugards (Martin / Connor) they have never wasted time to move in the right direction but it looks as if its checkmate at the moment. Multumesc your post are very good and full of facts but they only thing you have done at the moment is to pull the post apart of everyone on here, maybe you would like to come up with a sugestion and let us comment on that rather then pulling other members apart. From what i have read on the forum and from what i see and this is only my side. Eastbourne have broken no rules, Adam is happy to ride for them and he could have been any other club in the league because he is allowed too and if he wanted to, If Peterborough wanted to sign him it would not make any difference to Eastbourne as they would use a guest for him if needed. I cant see any reason to be so negative towards a Club or other members unless it effects you personally, I am a Lakeside fan and have to watch Adam come to us a few weeks ago and he rode his heart out and was fantastic. Look at the bigger picture, Adam is English, he is a fantastic rider, and it can only be a positve step for the likes of Adam to be in the NL a selling point for all the club to say that the outstanding number 1 rider is racing at there track this week. Bums on seats and so on. Matt Ford does not look at his team in October and say oh we are too good for the EL i better not put out that team or he would never open his gates. Because Eastbourne lost 2 riders in the first day of the season is an impact on any club, some clubs take months to build a team when Eastbourne only had a week.
  20. Philips wont be there due to his concussion, Strudwick is not good enough charley powell is not really getting it on at the moment he is not a george wood, George has now started to find a little bit of form. I think if Perks was in the side then maybe the score would have been different. But i guess looking at it from the promotion side a win is a win and the cost of the win in afforadble unlike the score at Rye House for Birmingham. i am starting to feel the love for the NL but thats since Adam has Joined but i do find it hard to get my head around Adam Ellis and Ellis perks to names you may not come across but 2 names in the same team.
  21. I just had a flick in the last few pages and cant see anything that would really effect any club other then Peterborough? unless because they lost they made a change but cant see who that effects Eastbourne ? unless i missed something unless Kings you can read something that i cant ?
  22. where abouts this will be interesting?
  23. Love the speedway world

  24. James Easter he is the sponsor of the NL i think he would be over the moon that someone as good at Adam Ellis is racing in the league that he is good enough to sponsor, Its a big selling point for him as i am sure he must do a tour of the U21 a selling point for Mr Easter, Hope he is not trying to throw away the U21 UK team because of how good adam is? i am sure Mr Easter was at West Row at the weekend and i can only assume that it would be to see Adam Race
  25. Good to see that Adam is ridding for Eastbourne and who really cares now as it cant be changed almost the same as the Daniel Spiller racing for Eastbourne the rule book has not be broken and everyone has to get on with it. I watch the meeting at West Row yesterday and i have to say how nice it was to see Sam Bebee at reserve and in a few months i can see Tom Brennan in the side for Eastbourne as i watched him after the meeting beating 2 guys in pratice by half a lap and recording a time that would have won 3 races in the meantime on a track that had no grip. i think with Adam in the Team he would be able to help someone like Brennan and very quickly pull him into the team and thats what this League is about bringing on someone who has not ridden by the best, Eastbourne will be the winner there.
