I think Alan is right, somebody else told me at a meeting a few weeks ago that this was the new rule for this season. Saying that, I don't think it's been consistently applied.........Jacob Thorssell had to rush around to where the rides enter the track in order to change his helmet colour at Wolves a few weeks back and supposedly exceeded the time allowance, even though he was proceeding towards the Starting Gate.

Swindon certainly aren't out of it. Morris and Ellis usually go well round Monmore too. Important for Wolves to start well and extend the aggregate lead. It starts from 4 which is obviously very tight, if Wolves can get heat advantages in heats 2-5 before Doyle comes back out for his 2nd ride then that could help.

Bomber with 10 points from 5 rides Howarth with 7 points from 5 rides Schlein with 12 points from 6 rides Masters with 10 points from 6 rides Riss with 5 points from 5 rides Greaves with 2 points from 3 rides Gives us a total of 46 which would be enough to see us home. That's assuming Masters is back on form after his last meeting at Monmore which was by his own admission, was his worst ever in Wolves colours!

Relegation And Promotion Play Offs
Perton Wolf replied to flagrag's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Exactly. If any club can prove that they have the financial capability to ride in the Premiership, then they will rightly be allowed to. As another poster has said, we need more teams and meetings, not less. The whole promotion/relegation thing should never have been reintroduced - terrible idea. -

The casual viewer of Speedway on BT will be very confused if Sheffield end up beating Leicester and neither end up moving leagues at all ! -
Relegation And Promotion Play Offs

Straightforward promotion/relegation just doesn't work in speedway, what a farce this meeting will be! -
Not quite sure what to make of that from Riss, didn't expect him to do much in that heat but to get into that position and then fall off under no pressure at all is inexcusable. Then, not getting the bike up in order for Rory to secure the 3-3! Oh well, bit of good fortune for Swindon after Muslieak packed up earlier.

Swindon have limited the damage the last few heats with 3 shared heats and one heat advantage but you would think they need 5-1's at this stage really. Could be close at Monmore but would be surprised if Swindon won outright on the night. I did expect them to win fairly comfortably overall however !

This is Swindon's title to lose without a doubt. On paper the score could be something like: Swindon 54 - 36 Wolves Wolves 48 - 42 Swindon So, it should be a comfortable enough win for Swindon in theory. A shame that it isn't 2 full strength teams, I really think we would have a good chance if that was the case and it would be a close encounter which would go down to the last heat or so. P.S - Can we have Nick Morris guest for us in the KO Cup semi final & final please?

More class shown from Belle Vue regarding Freddie's injury around 6:30 minutes in - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHRvjvdA6ic Even Mark Lemon applauds Bjerre's remarks. Very classy. Let's hope Bjerre doesn't end up in a crash anytime soon either. Not to mention massively hypocritical when a Belle Vue rider put Jacob in hospital only a few days earlier due to having 0 control of his bike.
