Poole V Swindon Semi Final 1st Leg 11/9/17

Holder seems to have a similar attitude to his brother. Boots getting too big now he's riding in Poland? -

The track is poorly prepared (particularly in and around the bends) but the racing has been quite entertaining, particularly on the backstraight. Probably down to how unpredictable the track is with all the bumps etc too. -

Oops, looks like Jack Holder encountered one of the track's many holes. -

Rubbish camera angle from BT, didn't even get to see Shanes pass Davey. -

4 points lost to Poole there, could prove to be a big engine failure! -

Track looks dreadful after only 1 heat or is my anti-Poole hysteria getting the best of me? Loads of bouncing around the bends. -

Why do Poole fans expect undying loyalty from riders that they have voluntarily got rid of? Especially in Newman's circumstances where many Poole fans at the time said it was very harsh! Has to make a living after all, why would he turn down a Guest booking? -

I just said it sounds dodgy so agree in that respect. It's just slightly ironic that Poole fans are up in arms like this sort of tactic hasn't been used before. Have we forgotten about the attempted Lindback/Hans Anderson stunt from last year when the latter had miraculously returned from injury to ride in Poland before the 2nd leg? -
Good points in the original post about the ridiculous number of R/R and Guest appearances this season but I'd rather Premiership teams look at trialing/implementing a squad system before moving to 6 riders. Try squads with 7 and see what happens.

The irony of Poole moaning about a ringer being brought in his simply delicious. However, they are probably right to be unhappy in this case. Sounds a bit dodgy to me. -
I find their Swedish coverage is fine (probably because it's live) but agree on the Polish coverage, racing is far too quiet.
-
I'm sure Iversen would be racing in the UK this season but the Polish rule prevents him. It's a huge problem for the Danes - Swedes and Poles themselves aren't badly affected by it.

The 5-0 changed everything! Don't think many people expected that result. -

Dudek's lack of team riding could cost his team big here. Ljung was left alone to try and fend off MJJ who has had decent speed all night, fails to do so and ends up making a huge lunge out of desperation up the inside of MJJ and knocking him off (as well as himself) - excluded. -
Absolutely farcical scheduling for the away leg.

Belle Vue vs Swindon final for me but I'd like to be proven wrong 😁
-
Think Wolves will struggle to beat Belle Vue over 2 legs - Bjerre on his correct engine, Worrall, Tungate, Cook and Bewley all go well at Monmore. So I'm half hoping we end up with Poole but as with the playoffs every year, nothing is easy/guaranteed usually. Can't remember the last time we won at Poole so would still be a tough tie but a lot less tougher than Belle Vue.

They might fly around the NSS but their Polish engines won't be much use round Monmore.
