At least I don't have to travel the three miles to the track.
I have a ticket from last week's fiasco, can I still get a refund?
I am so fed up up with speedway at the moment, I doubt if I will go again.
Just a thought, but if the promoter only has to pay the riders start and points money for ten races then they must be laughing all the way to the bank.
Same with Sheffield, called off before 1.00 not rained since and currently sunny. My personal opinion is that these promoters don't deserve any loyalty or backing from fans.
Even as a Sheffield supporter I have to agree with the OP. Over thirty weeks since the first meeting it now seems we may not finish the season. Another nail in the speedway coffin.
My first speedway meeting for a few years. Great idea from the promoters to run a free meeting but my initial excitement and anticipation soon turned to boredom after a series of races which were decided on the first corners.
I spoke to a few supporters who confirmed most of the meetings last season were similar to this one. Having followed the Tigers since the mid 1960s I think the promoters missed a real opportunity to showcase speedway to a new audience and I certainly will not return in a hurry after last nights racing.
