  1. Bt sport will be trying to get Speedway at the lowest price they can... so negotiations will not be fast or easy. Time and tide will yield the answer.
  2. Who knows ? They seem to make / amend the rules up as they go along Totally pi**ed off with the way the BSPA have run Speedway this season
  3. Good signing for Leicester. I am sure that fixed nights will encourage some more movement of top riders back to Britain.
  4. It is all over.... so does it really matter who rides at 6 or 7? Generally the NL teams gets the ars* kicked out of them re clashes etc and meetings end up like Mildenhall v Cradley amongst many others. Get the season over and if there is a miracle over the winter maybe the Sport can sort itself out and not look like a copy of the WWF wrestling circus which is as far removed from being a sport as I am from being an Olympic athlete
  5. According to updates ,,,, both meetings will be 10 heats due to lack of time. Is it any wonder that Stoke is on my banned list and has been for a long time. Give me new promoters and I will go back
  6. It is sad to read the article. Peter’s stance has been made and the whole episode is very unfortunate. If I remember rightly the refusal to allow riders in free was also made whilst at the Greyhound track but was backtracked at a later date. I would like to see a compromise which members of the WRSA have... that they can have free entry if they bring someone along who actually pays ( an adult ). It would be nice to see a response from the new management.
  7. They had a meeting last week re NL At Rugby. As long as they maintain the league as a developmental league that’s fine.
  8. The farce of teams with 4/ 5 guests due to fixture clashes has to stop. Mildenhall v Cradley ... 1 cradley rider , 1 rider replacement and 5 guests.......how can you take a sport seriously when this kind of match is happening regularly ? Fixed nights is a necessity if we are to solve this problem.... otherwise Speedway will resemble the WWF wrestling circus and will no longer be categorised as a Sport
  9. Whatever happens I am sure that Adrian and Mark will have 7 racers in the side that will entertain us at the best track in Britain
  10. Pleased to see a decent crowd...thought the team make up might have dented the attendance Well done Mildenhall... good luck in the final. Heat 13 was a scorcher.... good racing once again
  11. As an attempt to be a comedian you should try juggling for better success
  12. At £10 for adults , £8 for concession , u18s free it is the best value in the country . Top class track not matched anywhere in GB.
  13. Well done the Colts. Hopefully the start of a new era for Belle Vue just like when the Colts were resurrected in 1968.
  14. With only. 3 point unattached NL to replace injured Andy Mellish , a much tougher match. We are still capable of winning and if the racing is anything like last night at the NSS then we are in for a treat
  15. It takes two teams to produce a meeting of such high quality as tonight. Thank you to both teams for providing such an excellent meeting..... every race had at least one pass after half a lap. Speedway at it’s very best.... Please that Belle Vue have a trophy after a fairly barren spell
  16. Mellish has a suspected broken leg. Very disappointed with the racing.... riders on both sides struggling... Without the long interval would probably have finished the meeting
  17. The rule is you can’t race any further after an abandonment....just shows that they make the rules up as they go along.
  18. Once again the BSPA confirm that rules and regulations mean nothing. Make the rules up as you go along. Earlier this year Stoke curtailed the first leg of a double header at 10 heats so they can complete the second match. rules clearly state that if you abandon a match no further racing can take place I am sick and tired of the way the sport is being run Speedway ... a sport run in an amateurish way by people who pretend it is a professional sport No wonder there are no big time sponsors in British Speedway
  19. With the number times David Mason has missed meetings and rr has been used ...better check if promoter replacement is available on the weeks that it may be required
  20. The Colts have all the motivation they need. Due to clashes they have had to go away with 2 or 3 riders missing whereby the scores have been depressed on what you would expect. Great expectations from both sides
  21. Coming down to the meeting. A long time since I last went. In the British league days it would be Aces on Saturday night,....leave on the supporters coach at 2300 hrs.... arrive in Brighton ... kip on the beach... breakfast early morning....coach pick up to take us to Arlington early afternoon... fond memories
  22. The work done on the track post 1830 converted the track from a quagmire in to a good racing track. The 5-1 from Craig and Jack was a delight to watch with Jack involved in the race of the night albeit only 6 races. Andy Meredith and his track staff deserve a great deal of credit. Good racing... shame about the further rainfall when the track was converted back to one which was unraceable Hope Monday is a better forecast.
  23. Doubling up is rife because there are not enough riders..... so where do you think you will get enough riders to have a squad system ?u
  24. In truth , they had 3 experienced riders in the heat leader spot..... and they definitely did not do their job last night. Alfie Bowtell is talented but oscillates between a good night and a poor night. the bottom 3 are all 3 point men who struggled around the NSS. As long as the Colts continue their youth policy and we end up with bringing on British talent then trophies are an absolute bonus. Well done George Carswell for setting up this team
