Harris is a Living National Treasure of UK speedway ( he has declared himself so, so it must be true ) And he has won before in thrilling, from the back style at Cardiff ( albeit when he was a Young Gun All Out Racer ). Is that why he was chosen? And who did choose hi,? -

He definitely looked like a junior but I would not go so far as to replace him with Simon Lambert. We have been told that Porsing has made massive strides during his time riding in other parts of Europe. No evidence of that last night. -

The Dugard family does include "living legends" of UK speedway. -

Speedway Promotion or Lack of it.

And instead of laying golden eggs, the chicken's stopped laying eggs at all. From a few thousand paying supporters to a few hundred in 20 years or so, smacks of rank incompetence. -
It's a pity that Buster and his pals didn't give a thought to making the TV racing as exciting as possible to tempt in new fans. As it happens it has been invariably dire ( NSS excepted ) and a terrible advert for speedway racing. Seemingly typical - not joined-up thinking by the BSPA.

Birmingham Brummies 2019

Jason is capable of bursts of brilliance but is so prone to injury, because of the way he overrides, that he never reaches any kind of sustained level of consistency. He has already peaked as a rider in my opinion and has failed to learn from experience. -
He is truly a curmudgeon. A blight on UK speedway. A boil that needs lancing.

What a great new sport! Bring it here PRP Motorcycle racing. Passing and Re-passing - certainly never seen here this century. Call it speedway racing and doing it like that will bring hordes of people to see it. Light years away from what we get here and don't say it's the worlds best riders - yes they were. but any four riders on similar standard bikes on a safe track offering multi racing lines and opportunities could present it here regularly. Not the Tapes to Flag stuff we are offered 90% of the time.
-
Sounds about right. Especially that part about better racing on better tracks. Two essentials for the growth of the fanbase.
-
The only way forward if the essential revival is to have a chance of success. Further delay to a re-structuring may leave very little that is viable, that can play a part in the plans for 2021. In November of last year in the Crisis edition of SS it said vital changes were needed for 2019!
-
A ban for them or at least a huge fine. Or taking a few match points away. It brings promoters into disrepute if they don't all play by that rule "in the best interests of the sport".
-
Oh No! With the track seemingly sorted and close racing returning to Wimborne Rd, the value of the club should have soared to something over four figures. What's going on?
-
It's very nearly Game Over in the UK. Even one Big League will not bring in new fans unless the racing is improved drastically ( and especially at the AFA King's Lynn ).
-
I have to be careful with very spicy foods as they can give me the trots. It's a fine line between tindaloo and vindaloo.
-
The detritus will hit the fans for sure.
-
And that is why Tai is being careful and cautious over his own similar injury recovery, May not even be ready for the British G.P. And that is nearly another two months.
-
Wright whales need careful conservation. The Right way.
-
Certainly, it won't be at the AFA, you can be sure of that. Buster has spent years building up his expertise and you can see the result of his skill in the racing there. Especially when it is on live TV for thousands to see.
-
So are the others in the BSPA afraid of Buster Chapman or they so zoned out in a couldn't care less approach or have they already given up? Bereft of ideas that the majority of fans can relate to, certainly.
-
Eyes are normally a pretty good method of informal assessment but in terms of how exciting and thrilling racing is at the above tracks, we should use the measure of turnstile clicks ( paid ones ). None of them have reported new fans or disillusioned returning fans flocking to matches.

Later this year in the early autumn.
-
Sounds like one of the best put together proposals of the last few years and involves learning from the past. If we are unable to do that and /or come up with better, completely new ideas and just continue with the same old, same old of the last twenty years, it really is "game over".
-
But within the sport, it is regarded as a well run, well-managed club. And that is how the BSPA view the whole UK sport. Clear vision or delusional?
