  1. How have Glasgow turned down several fixtures over the past 7 weeks? The only fixture they have turned was a Jubilee meeting at Leicester, which was only offered after Nick Morris was out of Polish playoffs and Glasgow had an injury crisis
  2. That'll be the dates that were reserved for NDL fixtures but suddenly became available when Nick Morris's Polish Div2 team got knocked out of the playoffs.
  3. Glasgow and Redcar get better racing in my opinion. Belle Vue does seem to have some home track advantage, even good teams have been hammered there this season.
  4. 8th 0.191 seconds slower than the faster time. And he fell off in one session
  5. Fact he was using a banned drug. Even it was prescription pain meds he was putting others at risk competing when he shouldn't have been. Seems to have got off lightly, what deterrent is this to other riders?
  6. What about as an alternative, the site to the west of industrial estate,? Near the motorway. I had thought original this was the site not the forest next to a factory. Is there an issue with this site? Next to a motorway and a railway line noise isn't going to be an issue
  7. Ice hockey is on in Glasgow tonight - Clan v Fife Fyers @ Braehead
  8. It's actually been a month since either had a home meeting Glasgow 5th August Leicester 6th.
  9. Don't think that matters believe he's also failed the B test. The hearing is just to decide on the punishment
  10. Surely Poole wouldn't want hold up the semi-finals and all those other competitions they've got to race?
  11. What's Plymouth's alternative race night? Long range forecast for next Tuesday doesn't look good. Looking at the forecast Friday or Saturday seems the best options.
  12. I would have gone Kolodziej more but you're probably not far out. Ellis less is the obvious bet But my final £10 will go on Lebedevs more
  13. Chris Harris's September average is too high to guest for Plymouth or in place of Worrall. Isn't there a rule that a rider cannot ride for both sides over the two legs? So Scott Nicholls can either ride for Plymouth on Tuesday or wait on a Steve Worrall fitness test for Wednesday as his average is too high for either to use away.
  14. And how many passes was there in the Championship Riders Final last week?
  15. The new promotion spent a lot of time and money on the track pre-season. When I was there this season the racing was a lot better than my last visit
  16. Do they have to race 6th or do they get a choice? Don't Leicester get the choice of semi-final opponents?
  17. The promotions had a meeting on the day of the pairs at which they decided to scrap the one off final and each have a home leg. The sensible thing to do would have been to arrange dates at that meeting. As the one off final was scheduled for Sunday 4th September you would have they would arrange meetings over that weekend. But no doubt some riders have Polish commitments
  18. I didn't say the aim was to finish bottom. Lose at home on a regular basis is a sure fire way to lose fans and money.
  19. Glasgow won the league and didn't see an increase in attendance just a bigger riders wage bill. Workington won the treble then went out of business. What's the big prize at Championship level?
  20. There was a national train strike, I'm sure that had an effect on the attendance. Plus there was a stream available, why travel hundreds of miles when you can watch from home? Took me a day to recover from going to Redcar on Sunday and I wasn't even driving!
  21. That would be Craig's dad and our esteemed team manager reacting to the abuse Craig was getting while lying on the back straight. Never heard an ambulance being booed off the track before last night.
  22. I think Leicester would rather pick Poole, where they've won than going to Glasgow or Edinburgh
  23. We are spoilt with the quality of racing at Glasgow, unfortunately there is no streaming this season except from BSN, so unless you attend you aren't going to see the fantastic racing served up on a weekly basis. For some reason BSN chose to cover the totally uncompetitive Newcastle fixture in April which was actually the worst meeting of the season. However for all the hype about world class riders coming to Glasgow around a third of the riders couldn't race on the track. They looked fast in a straight line on their expensively tuned to the max engines but couldn't navigate the bends hence the numerous 60 second race times. Which are a rarity in Championship meetings. The cutthroat nature of the meeting lead to numerous crashes, nothing to do with the track or the fence. No problem with the long delays while Anders and Chris were being treated on track, the medical staff should get at much time as needed, they do a great job. But I don't think the Polish referee pushed the meeting through at the usual GP pace. What's polish for curfew? 4 hours on the couch watching a stream might be fine but some were standing at the track for much longer.
