Jeez, that must have been a few years ago Shazzy! It might be though that the press didn't think Speedway warranted a mention? The Coventry Evening Telegraph ran a similar thing over Christmas and I don't think it was in their event calendar either! Strange when you consider that apart from some poor performances by the Sky Blues, Speedway normally gets quite a bit of coverage in that paper!

Checked last night and it's fully booked now.. There is however another Travel Inn in Newport on a business park I believe, so that's the last resort. If I can't book there.. it's off to a caravan park for the weekend I think!!

Thanks to a lovely lady (you know who you are ;o) ) I think i've found us somewhere to stay in Newport. All i've got to find out now is, is it very expensive in a taxi from Newport to Cardiff??
