Janey, You can join your fellow Poole fans and the rest of the forum'ers at the Prince Of Wales (just round the corner from the stadium) from around 1pm onwards. Afterwards, come and join Chivs's early birthday celebrations!
-
Plenty of Eng-er-lund chants to upset the Welsh then!
-
Hopefully the POW will be showing the footy too as England's last friendly is on GP day!
-
If i'd have known that before now i'd have asked a friend to help me out with some tartan when she was down here at the weekend!
-
Strange request I know, but i'm away this weekend on one of those Sun holiday thingy's in Clacton. Does anyone know of a pub in Clacton that might show the GP on the telly?

It's also a week before a "special" birthday for Chivsy, so the first round will be on him! -

Help! Rooms For Cardiff
Jay replied to Hansfan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I'll be releasing 5 rooms in the next couple of days Hansfan when I get time to ring them and cancel them. I can't remember whether they are double's, single's or what though. It's the holiday inn, just outside cardiff but you could get a taxi into town for about £15 we were told. -
Cardiff Rooms Available
Jay replied to Star Lady's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I have booked 5 rooms at the Holiday Inn which i'll be cancelling any day due to people not wanting to go. I'm still hoping to go with Chivsy's party though fingers crossed. -
Oh right, so Chivsy's longest serving mate doesn't get an original offer, only if people drop out! All them times i've been like a big brother to you Chivs and this is how you repay me! :D
-
Panic over! Have now booked rooms at the Holiday Inn North, just outside the town centre.
-
Are they really all booked up already?? I've been trying all night to find somewhere and all but 2 are saying they are fully booked. The 2 that aren't fully booked will only offer a couple of rooms, but we need 5. At this rate, i'll need to be on the travelodge's website when their rooms become available. Any suggestions?

You didn't remember me Gem I know the Swindon meeting wasn't that memorable for Bees fans, but surely it wasn't that bad? -

Thanks for remembering me Jill! Chives.. I thought that was your nickname mate? And he's always been the same LW aslong as i've known him! lol -
Did you enjoy any part of it Star Lady? To be honest, I didn't even know it was Julia Bradbury doing the presentation of the riders. But have to agree thought that bit was a bit naff too. My Programme was free!! Most things do seem to improve year on year. Hopefully they'll perfect it soon and then everyone will be happy!

Cardiff Attendance
Jay replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Where is the motorway that runs to within 3 miles of the stadium then Steve? I always thought the M4 was the closest motorway to the stadium and then it's the A48 (or something like that) into the city centre. The thing about people staying over is mainly because it's easier. Look at the people from the north. The meeting finishes at 10pm, by the time they have got out, back to their cars or coaches it's 10.30/11. Then with the M50 being closed on Saturday that would have meant extra time on their journey, meaning they might not have got home til 4 or 5am. This way, you don't have to worry about rushing back, you can have a good night after the meeting. Get your head down for a good sleep and leave Cardiff for your journey north either late morning or early afternoon, arriving home at a more reasonable time. -
Grand Prix Competition
Jay replied to Steve Turner's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I see you've stuck to your guns and kicked me out the competition then Steve.. I knew you wouldn't remember me telling you Hampel and Bjarne when you sat next to me on Saturday night. -
