The rugby club and football and council have stiched up the comets big style esp over a new stadium which i hope will never get built.

It will be interesting to see how town get on without the comets money , rental for the stadium bar takings car park? What ever am sure it will be a miss perhaps why so keen to get the reds in !

Part of the deal for the new stadium was sellafield bought the land derwent park stands on dear old ian and tom mitchell are curently spinning at 78 rpm.

According to the "news and star" website allerdale have paid £100,000 to reseed the pitch , so much for wanting to do all they can to help the comets .

1973 i remember it well "carl glover" knocking both taffy owen and mitch graham off in ht 1 in the knockout cup final to beat us , and a good night at home with lou and mal getting a 5-1 in a last ht decider to beat boston .lou was the king of the second division that year.

The sport wont lose fans like me been going nearly 50 yrs as for derwent park cant see us going there again, it was paulco on here who mentioned the guest situation and he's never wrong! Will make a trip up to glasgow this season aftet all u never know when it could end .

Its tragic that a city the size of birmingham cant support a speedway club yet people will pay to watch womens football and rugby or worse ice hockey or basketball, no offence ladies .
