As speedway is in turmoil with fixtures etc in both leagues and rider availability plus the sad demise of Rye House I fear for clubs like Peterborough 1- track availability due to other events at the showground 2- when the track is available will riders be available 3- with them been successful so far this season the Panthers could possible have a league playoff semi final and final, a semi final and final in the knockout cup and in the league shield completion 4- So if this does happen will the showground be available for these fixtures ,as we all know the British weather could intervene at anytime for these and other fixtures and will this cause chaos to the Panthers charge

The Somerset away fixture is now postponed , so I doubt the next home fixture will take place . For the good of Speedway can someone give a statement . If it was riders with holding there services There would be repercussions so come on some one make a statement and let the league move forward for the benefit of every promoter, manager , rider and supporters

So guests again at Redcar away and Sunday at home v the Monarchs , Anyone clued on the conference league as a guest for Danny

Does anyone know how our walking wounded are and when there expected back Stevie - broken leg stefan - broken leg jason - battered and bruised danny - concussion and other injuries Testing times when were needing an unattached rider to make our quartet up for the championship 4's today two meetings one away and one away this week ,followed by 3 away fixtures on consecutive nights the week after could well be season defining

Scorpions v Sheffield 29 June KOC 7.30
Tosh1218 replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
So pleased that the Scorpions went through, hopefully the next round we will be able to track all of our seven riders for a change instead of been our injured . The young yankee looks a good prospect for Sheffield and one last thing it’s a pity the Tigers going on about there choice of guest Richie hasn’t been in the best of form lately so I was surprised by there choice of guest rider so who does pick the guest is it Team Manager (Simon Stead) or the promoter ( Damian Bates ) ????? -
Sheffield v Scunthorpe SGBC KOC 28/06/18 @ 19.30
Tosh1218 replied to Blackadder's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Amazing how Scunthorpe are been hit with the bad luck with crashes , injuries and bike failures . Early on all was well then Jason’s crash hope it’s not as bad as first feared , the lads dug in and we’re doing well Dimitri Berge was a very good guest and scored well , Jake Allen was holding the two tigers off for 3 1/2 laps then bike problems and a 4 pt swing. One last point one a club states it’s got a 10 pm curfew why racing continued after this time was it due to the Scorpions been depleted who knows . As for the 2nd leg I think Sheffield have enough points in the bag , hers hoping for an injury free night for both sides -
I have visited Rye House 3 times this year as a neutral supporter here are my findings 1- everyone is friendly and welcoming 2- everyone welcome in the pits to a certain time 3-not bad Facilties 4- racing at times is first from the traps wins 5- very long drawn out meetings with me paying my money and seeing tractors for longer on the track , rather than 4 bikes 6 - crowds no bigger then my local track Scunthorpe but I’m sure with a lot more expenses to be paid out Moving forward Speedway has lost its identity with the set race nights also due to lack of fixtures . People like continuity and were some clubs ride at home one week and there next home fixture is in 3 weeks is not good enough, people especially families will find something else to do . Why if the tv company wants to show live speedway is the clubs not getting compensated for loss of revenue In a sport when I hear from riders and promoters costs are spiralling, let’s do something about this and bring in a semi standard machine etc , supporters prefer to see good close races were skill and team riding comes in to play rather than a gater winning by over half a lap Im just a supporter I don’t know the costs etc and the full facts but what I do know the product we have now is not working. So please the BSPA at the next meeting look after the best interests of British Speedway for the future of our sport in our country . If we lose some riders so be it and also the deal and rule changes what are needed to save our sport have to be in the best interests of all clubs and not the selective few Rant over and one last comment I hope Rye House can be saved and are back racing soon

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2018
Tosh1218 replied to IronScorpion's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Danny Phillips come into the side on an average just over 2 pts ,the side around him we're going to be the match winners as the way the team started off. He is going into that heat alongside Gino Manzares on a 5.8 average and usually against the two opposite reserves generally on averages of 4 pts . So generally most speedway races I've seen the higher average finishes first ,so we're don't people get behind Danny Phillips and stop bleating he is trying and he will get better he was out last year 9 months so as a spectator I see him trying and that will do for me ps how many of these keyboard warriors rode a speedway bike. Good Night -
Josh G will not be back this season ,as he holds a polish licence this year

Rye House v Belle Vue - 20.06.18
Tosh1218 replied to Aces51's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The Aces were well worth the victory and 2 pt difference is not the real story only Dan and Jye struggled really the mad Manc Jason was quality all night and him and Cooky did the business in heat 15 if it want for KK it would have been embarrassing -
Scunthorpe Scorpions 2018
Tosh1218 replied to IronScorpion's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Give Danny a break he’s come back from nearly a year out with serious injuries and the way the team was set up we would always have a strong reserve and Danny as back up . At the season end if Danny achieves his average or ups it slightly he will have done his job. Just because of a home defeat we’re a no 1 guest put a 2nd string score in and the reserve guest didn’t score a point my advice to you is I’ve watched to many speedway meetings to panic in June , silverware is fished out in September/October ”So don’t panic Mr Manering” -

Got it on good authority Charles wright on Friday for stevie David Howe on Saturday for Stefan -
I’m sure with the northern bias in clubs the Bspa always wanted two southern and two northern sides in the semis .If in Sheffields group take out either Scunthorpe or Newcastle’s results in the group to make it a three team then you would have Example A 2 Sheffield home wins = 6 pts 1 Sheffield away win = 4pts Total 10 pts so it would be the same tally as Peterborough 2.25 PST per meeting so it would go on PST difference and I’m sure Sheffield’s would be higher so I can see why ther aggrieved and in real terms the Shield should have been two groups one of 5 teams and the other with 6 teams with the top two teams qualifying. This would have given teams more fixtures each as this season unless your successful clubs fixture lists are well down on past seasons only my opinion folks

I'm a scunny man Peterborough deserved the win no doubt ,but this has been coming for about a month when your racing with a 4 man team and 2 guests plus r/r. .Our choice of guests were limited and didnt score well ,the track was poor very slick when we have good racers in the team and one last point to all the so called Panthers fans not one of them will have been on a speedway and we're slagging there reserves off all week and asking them to be replaced so especially Tom Bacon well done tonight and hopefully you go on and have a great season you was outstanding tonight young man and clearly the big difference between the sides so back your own riders also Tofty was different gravy as well .

Scorpions vs Panthers 15.6.18 7.30pm
Tosh1218 replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Interesting choice of guests for fridays clash with Peterborough at home, Think Rob Godfrey has done well.considering there are 8 teams racing Friday night Rory Sclien (Ipswich)for Stevie Jordan Stewart (Redcar) for Gino Rider Replacement. for Stefan -
With the panthers going well home and away and the have Scott Nicholls leading them plus Tofty and they have strengthened up with Bradley Wilson Dean the choice of gusts for us important so here is my take Stevie Worrall replacement Kyle again as he hasn’t let us down yet R/R for Stefan Gino’s replacement for me would be either of the Newcastle pair who did well last week at the EWR Tero Aarnio or Matej Kus thought anyone it will be tough but predict a slender win for Scunny

Confirmed Aaron Summers guests for the Scorpions -
Your all saying big signing Eddie Kennett let’s see in a month his scores for Rye House have been poor and one last note, with Jorgenson signing for the bears and Kennett for the pussy cats surely the leagues need re naming like pubs darts leagues. GB Monday/Wednesday league and GB Other nights league
