  1. Love hearing what certain riders are on per point, plus travel expenses etc from people in the know allegedly. The only people that really know are the rider and the promoter But in all honesty Glasgow riders must be on higher money due to the travelling Here is two examples of 2 random riders at different clubs this season Jason Garrity -Scunthorpe Manchester based 2hr drive to home meeting 3hrs at the meeting 2 hrs drive back to his home 7 hrs in total , Approx 180 miles to and from the meeting Lewis Kerr -Glasgow Kings Lynn based 6 hrs plus drive to home meeting 3 hrs at the meeting 6 hrs plus drive back to his home 15 plus hrs in total Aprrox 700 miles to and from the meeting So who should and will be on more money it's obvious due to the times involved ,people usually say there isn't a lot of money in speedway but I'm not having that . These men put there lives on the line for our pleasure of watching this sport and should be well paid . As these riders are all self employed ,all usually have a mechanic they get paid what the deserve ,my only worry is there isn't any creative accounting when declaring there tax returns
  2. Too many negative comments about the side ,as I see it most sides will have about 5 points for there reserves , 3 heat leaders so to me the riders at no 2 and no 4 are crucial to how we do . Stef looks a steal on that average so young Mr list is the key to me ,let's hope he hits the ground running
  3. When is the announcement of the last rider expected ? I would still love Alfie Bowtell last year Rob said he on the radar and to be fair the back end of the season he was putting in big scores for his average
  4. Isn't Zaine coming in on a 5.2 average ?
  5. So reading that will it be Ryan Kingsley or Jordan Jenkins ?
  6. Yet another deluded comment from a deluded Sheffield fan , concentrate on your own team for 2019
  7. When is the last rider to be named please
  8. When people are saying bottom 4 in some comments ,it's a tough season and when all teams are setting up to 38 pts team average when if you take heat 15 results off you need 42 pts to achieve a draw then all teams will be weakened . How teams decide to go will be interesting next year but to retain 4 out of 5 of our top scorers from this season will help ,as I see improvement from Jake and Stefan next season .Hope Gino and Stevie get set up elsewhere for next year . In my eyes your team can have what ever averages for next season they want ,it will be teams with fewest injuries over the season that will be battling it out for the honours .Because this season we were ravaged by injuries all season
  9. Bailey and Auty averages will be lower than on here due to 2.5 % reduction
  10. Which two riders do you think it will be then?
  11. Hoping it's Steve I think he has unfinished business in been inured in his first meeting for the Scorpions and missing the bulk of the season and not really getting his confidence back . The winter break will mean he comes back fitter and hungrier for 2019
  12. I get it to about 16.44 left for 3 riders so hoping Stevie W Gino Alfie Bowtell or anders Rowe think ryan Douglas will be at Sheffield
  13. Does anyone know what average ryan Douglas would come in on the one he left us with a new assessed one?
  14. I believe the deal for Scunny was already signed before he left ,before the knee jerk reaction for Somerset to drop a division
  15. Yes very surprised but pleased to see Jake Allen return as I thought he would be at Somerset next season ,welcome on board to Jedd List don't know a lot about him ,would love any two from these three at reserve. Alfie Bowtell, Anders Rowe or Drew kemp all on low averages . Let the winter of team building and crunching the numbers. On the calculators begin
  16. well after the news from the AGM I doubt we will see Jake Allen in Scorpions colours next year
  17. This season I watched Danny Phillips home / away and to be fair yes Rob Godfrey could have timed things better ,but as a skilled tradesman myself I have pride in what I do and and produce .So why didn't Danny stand up and say I'm not ready for this and stand down himself . He should stick to his daytime job as a mechanic and slide his machine around the beach for his enjoyment as he can't be making any money racing in the championship ,at times it looked like he was riding a 250 cc bike i don't wish the lad any harm but he or his dad who is involved in Speedway should be honest and say this isn't for me . ps before any body states I can't say this ? I can because when I pay my money at the turnstiles it's to watch 14 guys race over 15 heats of Speedway as per the programme and not 13 riders and AN other
  18. Can't see Phillips anywhere near the EW raceway next season but as I'm led to believe teams running averages will be lower to start with which makes Gino a possibility for 2019
  19. Wow. I thought 18 was enough to win the tie ,but Workington are different gravy on there own muck . congratulations go on and win the treble now from a wounded Scorpion
  20. Yes so Klindt is a lower average for October then?
  21. Can some one correct me if I'm wrong but on current averages I have Rene Bach as the highest average in the Workington side so he must ride at no 1 or 5 next I have Ty Proctor on 6.96 and the Nicoli Klindt on 6.94 so how is Klindt riding at no 1 and the R/R for Proctor at no 2. Answers please
