So guys who would you go for a guest for Stevie Worrall Ipswich, Sheffield, Peterborough and Lakeside all riding so the choice will be a bit limited on the guest but on current form I would go for Doolan from Berwick Thought anyone as we must win

What happens if Scunthorpe finish on 13 pts ie a Newcastle home win 3pts and a narrow win at Redcar 3pts , does it come down to head to head contest or the pts difference from the 6 group matches ? Thanks in advance

Tonight is proof that pts were lost through getting a guest nearly 3 pts under Stevie Worrall average , we know steve is going to be out for a while so let's sign a proven no 1 to lead the other 6 contracted riders . Newcastle are built with a strong 6 and 7 so the other 5 have to outscore there top 5 . For me bust a gut to get an 8.5 pts plus to Steve's average as a temporary replacement or results will pass us by try and get Sam Masters or an ex premier rider . In the past a 2 pt defeat at Newcastle in the past was a good result but so deflated tonight and fear choosing the wrong guest will haunt us thoughts please

Wouldn’t give any of the Sheffield lads a guest spot , believe we can use anyone from championship and approx 90 % of the riders for the guest facility . Never been a lover of R/R if you get a heat leader injured early on your chasing it , in Rob Godfrey we trust

No Phillips was bought out by Newcastle who wasn’t going to use him , so we loaned him . As for stevie Worrall a speedy recovery and I personally thought the Redcar rider was totally at fault , theses guys sling there machines round at full speed but always seem to leave racing room for the opposition rider ‘ that didn’t happen last night ‘ . It will be interesting to see on a replay

An exclusion should only be if a rider touches or breaks the tapes , riders will always chance it (James Sargent a prime example)but sometimes a rider makes a perfect start and is penalised for it by having a re start . Let’s make it a black and white decision with no in between

Can anyone clarify the rules please If a rider named in the starting seven in a team is injured before the season what happens If the match is a challenge / friendly I presume it can be agreed between the two teams to use a guest of similar standard ,but what happens in a proper match i.e. Championship or championship shield etc - thanks in advance

The last team to do this with a balanced team was Hull Vikings when they won the treble in 2005 I’m sure 4 or 5 riders had a spell at reserve due to the closeness of the averages

Why is the points limit a ridiculous number , take off heat 15 as it’s a 5 th ride for two riders and that means 42 pts will get you a draw so the the limit is set to 42.5 pts giving your sid a chance of winning the meeting . If your side wants to win matches you build your side as close as you can to the limit simple , so it looks like Newcastle don’t want to win matches which will then affect attendances and the vicious circle will just keep repeating

There is no way Scunny will finish that low

Newcastle with nearly 13.5 pts for two team places aren’t going to use a rider on a two point average leaving over 11 pts for a number one as they won’t be competitive . They will build with an 8 pt rider and 3.5 pt for the reserve I expect
