Most teams have there teams sorted by the end of the current season as the promoters meet during the season . Yes teams might lose a rider to a higher offer as can happen , promoters have to deal with this and is the norm for Speedway . I personally have known Scunthorpe’s 1 to 7 a week after the season had finished but it’s upto each sides media team to trickle feed us information to keep is involved

Drew Kemp was quality for us (Scunthorpe) this season and was the reason why we won silverware , when he’s on his game he’s a great asset. Good Luck Drew

On the subject of Berwick fixtures last season I rang them up and asked if I would be able to get into the home match v Scunthorpe as I’m a scunny fan and asked if I would be able to pay the standard price for a championship fixture of approx £20 as I would be travel home after Heat 15 of this fixture as this was a double header with a Bullits fixture in the lower NDL league to follow . They put me through to someone and he stated as this was a double fixture the top price was the only price available as the Bullits were racing against Kent in the lower league . I refused to travel as time and diesel from Hull it wasnt worth the expense . Subsequently the 2nd meeting was cut short to 11 heats and and Berwick missed out on an adults match fee. .

Stuart’s testimonial should have been the first match at Redcar last season and when it got cancelled it should have been the next meeting

I’m sure the Sheffield promotion and Rob Godfrey work well together due to location and sharing fixtures in the NDL this season so that might be a factor in this signing

Why does Rob Godfrey get blamed ,I’m hearing Workington wanted to stay Saturday and there isn’t much choice as I’m sure there isn’t floodlights fitted at Derwent Park yet so early and late in the season there is no other choice

Agree pal his last season at Scunthorpe his bikes weren’t up to the task and he was pleading for help with expenses for foreign meetings , can’t see him back on British Tracks again

Seems very strange Oxford having a top flight team and championship side

AFC Bournemouths ground only holds approx 11 thousand fans and that includes away support as well
