Not a bad GP tonight, but could have been better, track was very poor. Crump was very poor again, his fall was very bizarre, but typical Crump dragging his bike off the track even though injured. Nicholls and Lindback were crap again, Bjarne Pedersen was very poor, but Lindgren was a big surprise. Felt sorry for Jagus taken off by Pedersen. Andersen looked like he had it sewn up but then seemed to fall asleep towards the end and a great pass from Adams up the inside to take the win.

Promotors have been trying for a few years to get him over here. Typical out of control Pedersen again causing another pileup, was very similar to what he did to Simon Stead at Belle Vue a few weeks ago when Stead went over the fence.

Some good pics there, like the close up ones in the pits of the bikes etc, different to some of the usual boring pages and pages of single action photos.

SWC is getting a bit of a farce with some of these weak teams now. Think they should maybe just seed two teams straight into the final then 4 other teams battle out for the other two places.

Confused me too, have they changed the rules in regards the pick of gates in the final? The last few years they were done in order of points socred in qualifying heats but last night they seemed to be done on semi final position with Andersen having second pick?

LOl you're having a laugh I don't think Screen will be used but just to point out when Belle Vue were there earlier the season he made a big cockup trying two engines he had bought from Mark Loram setup for Poland, and it was slick that night. I think it will be : Nicholls Harris Stead Richardson Kennett or Howe May just be enough to get through Coventry but won't do anything in Poland.

Only if you want to sit with a load of British fans, no different really to Cardiff then. Get out on the terracing, its concrete steps all the way round, good viewing from anywhere, get in the middle of all the Poles & Czechs and sample the atmosphere. PS I've been 4 times and its only rained once, even if you sit in the grandstand its not under cover anyway!

Yes it is the shock absorber, Jason was the first person to start using them in the middle of 2005, had a conversation with him about it. It has a dial on the top of it which can be set to one of 50 damping settings. Sure he said they were about £800 each. Noticed most of the top riders have them now, they must think thats why he was so good last year, but it wasn't.

We are staying in Verona at weekend, where most of the speedway people stay, just noticed Verona are playing Juventus on Saturday, that should be interesting, place packed with Juventus fans!

No chance, it only takes up part of the dome, the arena floorspace is only ice hockey sized, same as MEN arena etc. So any track wouldn't be much bigger then Brighton!

James didn't have any phone call to say he hadn't been selected for the meeting, he found out by reading it on teletext. It is thought Ian Thomas and Peter Oakes did a deal that James wouldn't be used so he could ride for Workington. Think it's a big year for James this year, 10+1 for Belle Vue on Friday, 14+1 for Workington tonight, think he is going to be challenging Kennett & King for best U21 rider.

Same for us, its a lot more expensive to fly out of Manchester due to the taxes and surcharges, thats why we always fly from Stanstead or Luton.

There won't be one at Stockholm again as they had a new running track installed. I liked Gothenburg but the DFDS ferry doesn't go there anymore from Newcastle!

Best places to fly to are Verona or Venice. We fly to Venice as the flights are cheaper and more frequent but stay in Verona (no where to stay in Lonigo, its quite a small place). To then get to Lonigo you really need a hire car, its quite in the middle of no where.

Can't comment on Travel Plus, never used them, never will, don't need to, but I understand some people like everything planned for them. But that travel agent price is ridiculous, you can fly to Sweden for under £100 easily. We do a lot of GP's because each one never really costs us more then about £150 each.

German GP is probably one of the easiest to fly to, you can fly to Dortmund, Dusseldorf or Cologne, all pretty much the same distance (Cologne is slightly further). Lots of cheap airlines fly to them so you should find a decent deal, we are flying to Dusseldorf with Air Berlin, £45 each. Check out http://www.skyscanner.net great site to find the cheapest flights.
