We had good seats, bottom tier back straight opposite the tapes about 5 rows back. Was a great night and a great finish, then picked my coat up off the floor to find someone had kicked a pint of beer over behind us and my coat was soaked in it, then got outside to find it pouring down and had to put said coat soaked in beer on!

It's a disgrace, like I said I can only go by the Daily Mirror but they have got full pages on some sports like Golf etc and not a single mention of Harris winning the GP.

Pre Meeting Entertainment
Rob B replied to donstrigger's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
We were on the bottom tier and the sound was very good but we have speakers on the floor right in front of us and extra speakers just above our heads under the middle teir if you are on the middle and top teirs you are having to rely on just the big speakers on the roof of the stadium and can imagine the sound being poor. The entertainment wasn't my cup of tea but though it was no way the worst they have had at Cardiff over the year. One thing I was dissappointed in though was the parade, it was crap, riders coming out one by one with no introduction over the PA. The best parade by far was last year with the jeeps and A team theme. -
Yesterday the Daily Mirror had an interview with Chris Harris and pic in a column down one side of a page yesterday but today has absolutly nothing in it about his win! At first I thought there was as there was, a headline Cardiff goes Bananas, only to read that it's about Cardiff football club! Any decent coverage in any of the other papers today?

Programme At Grand Prix
Rob B replied to GlasgowTigers#1's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No you don't -
Typical that every year Cardiff has been on the same weekend and the weather has been really nice even thought the stadium has a roof, they put it back 2 weeks this year and the weather looks pretty terrible. Obviously its not going to affect the GP with the roof but is going to make it pretty miserable during the day getting round etc socialising. http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/7days....zipcode=Cardiff

Poland won't win at Vojens but they will then win the race off easily and then probably win the final too.

No don't think there is any free programmes this year, not seen it mentioned.

Traffic For Cardiff
Rob B replied to Young Saint's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
If you want to know a brilliant place to park your minibus for £2 for the day within 5 mins walk of the stadium PM me and I'll tell you. We've parked our mini bus in this place for the last 5 years and it's been great. No offence to others but not going to put it in public on here as more and more people are finding this place each year and don't want to get there and find we can't park -
Noticed Tomasz Jedrzejak did well for Wroclaw after a bad first heat. Always liked that lad and would like to see him at Belle Vue again.

Rob B replied to eric i's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yes there seems to be quite a few people going off here as its so cheap to get to. You can fly to Dusseldorf or Dortmund both not far from Gelsenkirchen, lots of budget airlines fly there. Have a look here http://www.skyscanner.net very good website for finding the cheapest flights. We are flying from Luton to Dusseldorf with Air Berlin, got it for £42 each. -

I know this is a bit late but that is a load of rubbish they told you, we had a similar scenerio, someone extra wanted to join us after we had booked, I rang them up gave them the booking number and managed to get a seat 2 rows directly behind us.
