Tomorrow is going to be a very large crowd and there will be long queues at the ticket office. Highly recommend to buy your ticket from the website and print it at home, can go straight to turnstiles then. If that not possible get there as early as possible. If standing on south terrace it has its own ticket cabin in south car park for sales/collections so no need to go to main ticket office. -

Not many of them about, and it was fast too, even though it was back firing constantly. -

King's Lynn V The Wolves 25/08/16

Exactly, like the World Cup race off, riders loved the grippy track but racing was crap. For good racing track needs to be slicker on inside with some dirt on the outside. Last night was some good racing at Belle Vue but riders moaning about track being slick. -
Belle Vue V King's Lynn Wed 24th Aug

It was a poor crowd last night but there were several factors. It was a Wednesday off night, Manchester City were playing one mile down the road, we have 4 home meetings in 10 days, a lot of people maybe saving their money for bank holiday Monday and last weeks late call off may have put off some people -

I agree, but Poole team is stronger and if they all perform on the night will be very hard to beat. -

Poole have the strongest 1-7 shown by current averages but as others have said some riders are underperforming. Poole 47.76 Belle Vue 43.52 Belle Vue top 6 matches Poole top 6, it's our weaker number 7 that makes the difference. -

National Speedway Stadium - Too Sanitized?
Rob B replied to Little Thumper's topic in National League Speedway
So you say the track and racing was excellent but you won't be coming back because you couldn't bring in your dog, butties and air horn? Was the traffic Belle Vue's fault too? I know what my priorities are and its to watch good racing in a clean modern stadium rather then crap racing elsewhere where you can take in your butties. Regards the atmosphere, the NL is our junior team, there was probably only about 500 there, try coming on bank holiday Monday when there will probably be over 3000 there, we don't need air horns to make some noise. As for no 'Give us an A' it wasn't the Aces riding! -
With Belle Vue likely to be in top 2 would have thought they will ride at home 2nd leg.

What Is Going On At Leicester
Rob B replied to weatherwatcher's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Hougaard didn't know yesterday that the meeting had been called off the morning before! -
Do we know the playoff dates yet? I'm sure by this time last year they had all been announced for semi's and final. Fixtures seem to go up to 16th September, are play offs likely to start on 19th September?

Good post, I have posted similar in the past, lot of people think it's just a matter of throwing a bit of plastic sheeting down but it isn't. I have been to Vojens several times when they have used them before GP's/World Cup, it takes at least 5-6 men to remove each wet section, fold it and then a fork lift truck was needed to lift each folded section onto a trailer, Vojens had about 13 people doing couple if sections at a time.

Doyle, Sedgeman, Nicholls and one other. Nicholls and Sedgeman turned up just before it was called off, not sure if Doyle made it or not? -

It might have looked smooth from a distance but it wasn't! Every time somebody walked on it their feet sunk into it 1-2 inches! -

Colin Meredith has retired, his son does it now. Was obvious when I arrived at 6.45 it was far too soft from the 8 hours of rain, should have bladed it at 4.30, would have given a couple of hours to attempt to sort it or call it off before turnstiles opened. Yes the vintage bikes looked OK on it but no offence to them they are only tootling around, modern speedway bikes would have had no chance. -

Yes there has, Sky showed double header at Belle Vue couple of years ago.
