  1. It might have looked smooth from a distance but it wasn't! Every time somebody walked on it their feet sunk into it 1-2 inches!
  2. Colin Meredith has retired, his son does it now. Was obvious when I arrived at 6.45 it was far too soft from the 8 hours of rain, should have bladed it at 4.30, would have given a couple of hours to attempt to sort it or call it off before turnstiles opened. Yes the vintage bikes looked OK on it but no offence to them they are only tootling around, modern speedway bikes would have had no chance.
  3. And Tungate wouldnt be at reserve this time, in fact he not riding at all.
  4. Both teams at full strength for top of the table tie WOLVERHAMPTON: Fredrik Lindgren, Peter Karlsson, Sam Masters, Jacob Thorssell, Joonas Kylmakorpi, Max Clegg, Kyle Howarth. BELLE VUE: Matej Zagar, Steve Worrall, Max Fricke, Scott Nicholls, Craig Cook, Richie Worrall, Joe Jacobs.
  5. Yes there has, Sky showed double header at Belle Vue couple of years ago.
  6. Heat 7 video http://speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.31007
  7. Tickets were printed by BSI, pretty sure it's the same wording they use for Cardidf too.
  8. Tai wouldnt have been allowed a TS if done a joker on programmed ride, Rosco played the tactics perfectly TS and joker at same time in place of a weaker rider on good gate.
  9. Yes but there was loads of people saying it was crap shape, too fast, single line, etc. The fact was the rain yesterday made it too grippy which led to very fast times, tonight the times were 2-3 seconds slower and showed what a difference to the racing makes when the inside line isn't so grippy.
  10. Those that were so critical of the track last night are very quiet tonight. Bwitcher is the track still too fast????
  11. They putting some extra speakers up in front of East stand now I been told.
  12. Yep that why I recommended it at Cardiff, which one did you go to?
  13. The rain didn't make it 'bad', it made it too 'perfect' it was so grippy the track record kept getting broken but that doesn't lead to good racing as the inside was so grippy, need outside to have more grip then inside. What annoyed me was then every 4 heats they dragged the dirt back to inside, spiked the inside and watered it making it grippy all meeting.
  14. IT wasn't slick it was far too grippy! After all that rain the track was very grippy which meant for most of the meeting the inside line was fastest meaning very fast times (original track record was broken in nearly every heat) but poor racing until inside line started to slicken off and dirt moved wider.
  15. Track is fine, been dry since 2.00 and quite warm now, they just didn't want to run practise in wet conditions and then have limited time to relay it.
  16. Not going to be any more rain now. They will let track dry naturally then wouldn't surprise me if they watering it before start time.
  17. Which one? If you mean the Sportcity one then yes it's a 10 minute walk.
  18. Glad practise has been cancelled, the track won't be bad as only been drizzle all morning but would have been lot of work to get it right again for tonight in short period of time. Getting brighter now.
  19. Something going on within USA team with Wells and Hancock now stepping down? Really annoyed about that, was really looking forward to seeing Hancock.
  20. Athletics training, they have done British trials there in past on TV for Olympics etc About 16 years ago when they were building the stadium for commonwealth games it was talked about as a possible location for new speedway stadium.
