That track is so much better after a lot of rain, I was there in early 2000's when there was lot of rain before the start and start was delayed by an hour, was great racing afterwards. Usually it is far too dry and slick.
Nicholls was consistent, especially after a heavy fall in first ride, although Cook's score wasn't too bad he was dissappointing, he dropped 3 points being passed 3 times.
Strange meeting as a Belle Vue fan, at the interval I was feeling quite depressed, really felt like we were riding really badly but looked at the score and we were only losing by 7.
Couple of 4-2's and it was a comfortable 1 point gained despite several riders off form. Zagar had a couple of terrible rides before changing machinery, Cook went backwards, Steve Worrall really struggled at heatleader and Fricke wasn't great yet we only lost by 3 points.
A comfortable aggregate win over one of our play off rivals.
Referee Jim Lawrence excluded Craig Cook at Poole after 2 'moving starts' on sky, then at Belle Vue few weeks ago he did the same with Steve Worrall, last night Garrity moved 3 times and he did nothing!
Really slick track tonight compared to Monday but still some good racing, wolves were just a 3 man team really and Belle Vue were solid despite Zagar being poor.
Funny though that last year when Belle Vue had Zagar and Cook missing, Belle Vue requested the fixture be moved and Leicester refused.
This year we have Zagar and Fricke missing and we are suddenly strengthened?
There was no rain yesterday and not much forecast for today so should be no problems.
For Wolves fans coming, give yourself more time as the M6 northbound is very busy on a Friday plus there is a Stone Roses concert on at the Etihad Stadium.
Lineups for tomorrow :
BELLE VUE: Matej Zagar, Max Fricke, Steve Worrall, Scott Nicholls, Craig Cook, Richie Worrall, Joe Jacobs.
WOLVERHAMPTON: Fredrik Lindgren, Kenneth Hansen (G), Jacob Thorssell, Sam Masters R/R, Joonas Kylmakorpi, Ashley Morris, Kyle Howarth.
Which have been sold out for weeks so obviously were justified.
I wouldn't pay them, I've got the £25 tickets but people do. It's the same with Cardiff never understood the people that pay £80+ for tickets but they do.
You wouldn't have been able to buy one anyway as they are sold out, which shows 2000 people were willing to pay that price.
Still seats available on 3rd/4th bend.
Yet they are sold out lol
