Well I for one can't wait to see some Championship riders grace Perry Barr.....be great to see Starke/Barker/Ellis/Lambert and Jason Garrity is an entertainer, just like 'our' James Shanes! Btw Avoid M6 NORTH .....broken down vehicle/s causing headache delays yet again !
-
Have to disagree about a guaranteed Final place? If we 'Birmingham' had got a FULL team, we'd have beaten them at Perry Barr ....for certain ! And in 'Cradley's' defence (so to speak...) they used that many different riders, coupled with the fact that they didn't have as many meetings (at Monmore) 'they hardly had much 'home' advantage ? Not that they needed it !
-
Just joking Matt......I think Wolverhampton's track has been very inconsistent this season....Wolves are renowned for changing their surface mid-meeting to fox the opposition ! Peter Adams as much as admitted it when interviewed on BT Sport during one of their live fixtures!?
-
Most likely Cradley's way of trying to slow down the opposition?
-
and most likely Ricky Wells ? It's bubbling up ! I can't wait for this meeting.......line-ups have changed a lot, but they look quite even and full of 'racers' ....'what a treat for the fans and a bitter sweet end to a terrible season of bad luck' !
-
You're in for a treat ! The track will produce some great racing ! Watch out for Ben Barker when he heads towards the fence.....'it's very scary' at times : )
-
I think they've got time to put an 'insert' in ?
-
Cheers.... The main website needs updating too!
-
I think it's in the best interest of Birmingham Speedway/Owner's/management to get something out there publicly re: the line-ups ? You can't expect people to turn up not knowing who's going to be riding? We need something 'Official' and legitimate!?
-
Oh no......it's turning in to another 'circus' .....drives you mad !
-
May be flashing green lights to start with.....give riders a few seconds to respond and then take action ? Something needs to be in 'black/white' with no scope for discretion of the referee ! Then I also think that a rider should be allowed to start off a handicap as in league racing....not many fans want to see a reserve rider take anybody's place? We pay good money and I expect to see the best!
-
Never going to be a classic on a track as tricky/dire as Wolverhampton!
-
Like you say...it should be a cracking meeting, especially if last season's Tony Mole farewell is anything to go by? I think the Mason's are realistic and will understand the lack of interest due to recent injuries (especially to Tom....) It's getting colder too : ) might have to take this one inside tonight : ) LOL
-
I'm glad that the best team won last night( happy to see any team lose that Ellis Perks rides for )....but sad to see the demise of Cradley....hate to see any team fold, Will miss the atmosphere that only a local derby can create!

WEDNESDAY'S TEAMS (in alphabetical order)BIRMINGHAM: Adam Ellis, Dany Gappmaier, Jason Garrity, Sam Masters, Ashley Morris, James Shanes.PETERBOROUGH: Ben Barker, David Howe, Simon Lambert, Ulrich Ostergaard, Paul Starke, Jordan Stewart Shame about the injuries depleting the original line-up and the absence of 'Bomber'......but still a far better line-up than what we've been used to this season. Hoping that a good turn out can influence our managements plans for next season.

Which seems to be common practice these days ! Commenting on 'Simmo' as a rider ? pure class ! After reading his auto biography, it appeared that he led a colourful life... causing a few controversies on and off the track along the way, but again, nothing out the ordinary these days! Nobody's perfect!

Would have liked to have seen what a full strength Mildenhall team could/would have done? Officially it's a farce....but from a 'speedway' spectacle it's got a lot of people's attention. I fancy the 'dream team' to win by about 10 points!?
-
Thanks for your reply 'Hobbit/BB' and thanks for advice.....noted! No Laurence, I haven't received any personal reply, but I can't access the Brummies Forum so that might be the reason? I didn't expect a response, but appreciate your message....thank you..... Here's to a better 2019 (injury wise).

Agree totally.......back in the day it was part and parcel of the 'suspense' at the start ! (bluufing/anticipating, other riders etc....) It also made for some better races, especially when the favourite missed the gate!
