  1. Fair point ! Having said that....Bham have been a team of guests nearly all season, I can't remember who rides for us anymore : )
  2. Chris Harris is worth any position, in any team...imo...one of the best team players in the business!
  3. Is that the same 'past his best' Chris Harris that came from behind to beat the then 'World Champion' in the final heat of the semi-final play off....to secure his team victory?
  4. I have! A team made up of talented/competitive riders is far more appealing than just selecting someone because they used to ride for the club ??? (imo...)
  5. 3 of the most promising British riders riding at one of the worst tracks in the country ???
  6. Have to congratulate Neil Middleditch.....best manager in the country ! imo......
  7. The decision in question would only have altered the outcome by 3 points, i.e a 3-2 as opposed to a 5-1 (as MPT couldn't take his place in the re-run?) assuming that you're referring to the first leg incident? I agree totally, that the ref was shocking ....
  8. Not really sure about the worst team or not ? but one thing for certain imo is that the 'BEST' manager won once again!
  9. Great 2 choices of 'riders' to see (Rowe/Gilkes....) be good if Danny Ayres/Adam Roynon are fit enough to ride for Cradley?:
  10. Poor reffing yet again ! As a neutral, I don't have an opinion on who wins.....just a fair result is all I ask for and 'we/speedway in general' can't even get that right!
  11. Regardless of the line-ups it would be nice to see some decent racing for once ?
  12. I'd like to say that at 48 years old, to come 5th is a brilliant achievement! Well done Greg Hancock !
  13. What is your favourite 'era' of B'ham Speedway ? what's your best memories ? mine are from the 70's and the early 80's (my favourite track was the old Perry Barr)
  14. Have to agree about the 'clicky' comment : ) I'm banned (permanently) from the Brummies forum for posting my 'thoughts' ....I didn't use any foul/abusive language/words ??? It does seem that you are 'only' allowed to post positive comments on there. I don't miss being able to post on there....if I did, I could easily set up a new used i.d etc.....but I'm not going to do that, as there's no point....... The only 'posts' I miss reading are a user name 'Heardy' (very funny) and he intelligently knew how close to the knuckle to take it : )
  15. 1981 Penhall Olsen and Penhall Knudsen races (Wembley World Final ) hard to split which one was better ?
  16. Agree about trying to attract a 'new/younger' fan base....the new owners have done a remarkable job this season where that's concerned !!! I don't know of any other team that invite the kids on to the centre green at the interval ? wished they'd of done it in my day : ) As for Brian Buck ??? He is an absolute legend....imo.....but we're all entitled to our opinion. Shame they couldn't of made the end of season a four teamer and invited Coventry in to the fold ? it might have increased the attendance ? It's going to be a 'cold' one : )
  17. I see that you've got floods of support for attending these 'meaningless' meetings ??? What 'financial' benefit will it be to the club staging these fixtures ? What's the point having a cut-off if you're still forced to run the fixture after the so called date ?
  18. And Birmingham......with an injury list as long as your arm!
  19. Still criticising the poster and not the post...... I see ??? So, do you have an explanation as to what's the actual point to these meetings? apart from a very interesting and valid point about the possibility of riders being able to 'lower' their average?
  20. What's the point of B'ham completing their league fixtures at Mildenhall/Buxton ??? Who is actually going to go and watch these 'pointless' meetings???
  21. Nicholls with a broken ankle???
