  1. Again....the big 'IF'.... if its true, the most serious sanction that the promotion will face, is the 'loyal' fans not being taken for fools and they wont turn up ! Seems that the general census about Laurence Rogers could be about to ring true! (or is that a bit harsh ?....) Its alright saying that he's worked hard etc etc etc....but he will have undone all his hard work, by misleading/lying to the Birmingham faithful (and he's not alone....there is a 'big' click of supposedly know it all''s at Perry Barr and it wouldn't surprise me if they ALL knew about Ellis !)
  2. Seriously....if the Ellis rumours are true....I know a fair few Bham fans that wont be bothering anymore... If you think last season was a struggle, then this one is just about to get a whole lot harder by looks of things. Such a shame after all the hard work on the track.....
  3. Trying to think of something positive to come from all of this ? errrrrrr......the weather forecast looks OK for Wednesday ?
  4. Press release from B'ham this afternoon according to one of the new owners (on club forum).
  5. Not my job to make appropriate appointments....I'm a chemistry research technician with just an opinion, as stated in my post. If I owned a business, then I would appoint a manager that made the business successful. Bham made a great start by improving the track and then conned the fans with a team under false pretences (if the Ellis rumour is true...) That's sh#te management imo!
  6. Personally, I think the new consortium would do well to get rid of Rogers and get someone with with a hit of credential in... just my opinion.... its going ** up from where I'm sitting?
  7. Cmon bham get a grip... my suggestion wud be to get a proper manager who knows how to run the show... its getting embarrassing!
  8. Desperation! Loyal supporters pay full price and Cov/Cradley fans get reduced entrance? Is that right?
  9. Just a reminder of the announcement by B'ham main website when Adam was signed. It clearly says he's joined for the 'Season'! Management are quick to jump on here when something negative is said.... Just wondering why they're not as quick to 'quash' these rumours , unless they're true? P.s it also states that to bring him to B'ham is big big news....well, to lose him after such a short time under false pretences would be even bigger news !
  10. BIRMINGHAM have pulled off the signing of reigning British Champion Adam Ellis. The 26-year-old, who won the National League with the club in 2015, has agreed to join the Curtis Sport Brummies and completes their side for the coming season. However, due to a prior league commitment in France this weekend, Birmingham have named Ben Morley as a member of their team for Saturday's (March 26, 7pm) Knockout Cup clash at Leicester. But after weeks of negotiations, team boss Laurence Rogers is thrilled and relieved to finally get his man.Said Rogers: "It really is amazing news for the club.“Adam was always on our list of potentials but we had to wait for a few things to fall into place.“We hit a few pitfalls along the way and we’ve had to be patient with one or two things, but he’s a Brummie again and that’s all that matters.“He’s a top quality rider at this level and to bring the British Champion to Birmingham is big, big news.”
  11. Still waiting for bham to confirm about Ellis? But what you're saying is spot on. It's a bloody joke!
  12. I think the clubs will lose out when the fans stop going!
  13. They won't be getting my money whilst he's running the show, if the rumours are true. Bunch of cowboys!
  14. Perhaps we had to let him go so we could use the money on a 2nd paramedic! The Club are taking their time to come up with an excuse? (if the rumour is true?)
  15. Birmingham fans wasn't told this when he signed?
  16. If its true....then Season tickets will have been bought under false premises? I don't want to jump the gun, so will wait for Speedway Fan/WOW68 to fill us in !!
  17. I think sending Harris in a mentor capacity is beneficial....but let the youngsters do the racing and gain the experience.
  18. I didn't say or specify by what an available criteria should be ? To clarify....I would expect a new signing to have a similar average and a similar contract/terms etc.... I wouldn't expect a club to have to cough up extra money etc....just like for like IF available.
  19. Hopefully not ! We have only used one once out of the 3 available meetings? not that I'm too bothered either way. I think we may have done what was most cost effective to the Club, as opposed to what effect it would have on the meeting outcome.
  20. Plymouth can always have Ablitt when Poole give him the push ? What about 'Keleher' ? If there are available riders to sign .... then I don't think guests should be permitted.
  21. Trouble is....I think nearly all of speedway referees have never rode a speedway bike and they haven't got a scooby about what's dangerous and what isn't? They nearly always act on what 'the loudest shout' is from either, or both clubs.... The main criteria to becoming a speedway ref is...... to be willing to travel the length and breadth of the country any day, any time, for basically p#ss all !
  22. Going to be difficult for Newcastle to attract a new No.1, if the track isn't fit for purpose? I feel for the passionate/loyal fans/supporters of the club....especially after working so hard to stay in existence.
