Having been watching speedway since late 70's I agree about the pantomime part of your post. Was nothing better than seeing a rider smash a starting gate phone( whatever happened to them) or go storming to the refs box. But can you imagine the repucussions if Wayne Rooney reacted like James Wright did after he had been booked and then done it again if he had been sent off.

I always thought Somerset were the strongest team in top 6 as they have a full team. Thats why I was suprised we didn't pick Edinburgh and after their performance at Scunthorpe tonight I wonder if the Newcastle promotion are having 2nd thoughts themselves.

I agree. I also hope the meetings go smoothly as I remember a double header a few years ago against Edingburgh( I think ) and Rye house that seemed to go on for about a month:-) and only ended when Tai Woffinden demolished the back straight safety fence

Thought the play-offs were brought in to earn clubs a big pay day not for them to lose out

Depends on the choice of guests as I know Newcastle were not happy with the make up of Plymouths team last week and the crowd was well down because of it. Bet Newcastle would of been happy if all the missing fans had of paid half price
