  1. I only paid £20 at Newcastle for their double header vs Poole & Plymouth. Leicester is my local track but certainly won't be going to this double header. WTF, £25/£26 for the final regular league meeting & a NDL meeting against ermmm Kent, that's a reet big smack in the gonads for the loyal support shown by the Lions fans. Think this one will be appearing in Rip-Off Britain! Very very disappointed in the Lions promotion!
  2. Can us Pirates av Bjarne again at no.6 now that Plymouth av finished their fixtures!
  3. Speedway Star is at least respectful of Newcastle's plight this week by putting ?marks at the end of the headlines unlike last week when the headline read Diamonds not Forever
  4. Well if they stick to the so called plan it's gonna be 2 rising stars in each team next season! Oh crikey, it's surely not a game of 2 halves......it is Now! Please don't do this, Save Our Sanity!
  5. Agreed. For me Pirates vs Lions Final will be a massive occasion. Mind u some bias there, as I support Pirates and me mate's support Leicester with Leicester being my local track
  6. Leicester can still get 2nd & I hope they do. Win over Kent at home and a win at Glasgow is more than possible. After Leicester had 7pts taken off em coz of Eagles departure I think that it would be a very deserving achievement
  7. My comment was tongue in cheek, kind of maybe?, but your correct about the other teams. It's going to be an epic end to the season who ever wins. I'm a regular at Leicester as it's my nearest track & my mates are Lions fans so there's quite a lot of banter between us, hope Lions get the other semi spot. I did see Edinburgh at Leicester the other week and it was a good meeting, do like Josh as he's got a great style and desire to race. You mention Kemp and Rowe but both had an off night that night but hope we don't meet you coz we seem to like to use them at reserve. Yes Scunny and Redcar, we still sticking the plasters on! But remember we have Basso on the Gasso who is, yes is, pure class......ermmmm well he's just got to remember to stay on! May the best team win #piratepride
  8. Lookin forward to getting down to Wimborne Road to cheer the lads on to glory & I hope Basso on the Gasso is gonna be ok. I guess with finishing top we can choose which way round to have the home and away? #piratepride
  9. PIRATES AV TOPPED THE QUALYFYING! Well done lads and all on board the Pirate Ship. Now let's go & do the bizzo. Couple of trophies to polish!
  10. PIRATES to WIN 55-35 bish bash bosh No messing, No Stressing, No Skiddies BASSO on the Gasso! WIN with a WORRALL!
  11. I don't do streaming, well only when I've got a cold then me nose goes off on one!
  12. Wrighty wearing his XL kevlars so he can fit a sick bag in them as he's a tad delicate when riding the Waves of Wimborne!
  13. Yep c'mon on the Pirates. End the qualifying campaign in fine style. Again I can't make it but will be following the speedway updates. Can't wait for the play offs to get down to the coast & my fix of the Waves of Wimborne Hopefully the cup final as well. #PIRATEPRIDE
  14. Hopefully the Comets can get going at Northside? Met sum good folk at Workington, well i first met them on the Travel Plus tour to Poland in 2000. They put me up when I went up to Workington. Also Comets had a few of my club's rider's go there from Long Eaton after we had closed, the legend Stoney & Brent Werner. Also the association with Tony Mole & Graham Drury which was a great partnership at Long Eaton as well.
  15. And he still is! Form is temporary class is permanent A quote I know from someone very close to him. "He may be having a sh*t season but he's still number 5 in the world! He'll be back! And I don't just judge a rider by wot they do on track, Tai is top class off it as well with his charity work and the personal things he does for his fans.
  16. The NSS can be a leveller due to the nature of how it rides,. For example, Joe Jacobs & Jye Etheridge av beaten many a top class rider around there riding for Belle Vue so who's to say the likes of Bellego, Bergé, Lebedevs etc can't be spoilers? Those 3 are well established & very capable riders so to disregard them would be like sayin Southampton had no chance at Man City at the weekend!
  17. Speedway man through & through. RIP Dave, God bless
  18. Whoops, yep sorry Redcar can also reach 46 with getting a win & 4pts at Poole but even if they did our For/Against still wins.
  19. @Col Rune Holta is/was Norwegian then he took out Polish citizenship so does that make him Norlish?! He's about 95 years old now!
  20. Robert Nagy had a good British career in the 90s (92-96) including riding for my team Long Eaton in '96. That was until Roman Matousek nearly killed him at Sheffield, I was there that night & Matousek wasn't bothered about the consequences of deliberately slamming Robert into the 1st bend fence.
