  1. Just got back in from the Lions Den. Very good meeting with gud battling displays from the Thompson Twins & Jordan Jenkins. Sum cracking racing, Pickering as taken a liking for Leicester and gave it everything he had. Anders Rowe & Drew Kemp, thought I'd see better performances from these two talented lads. Might excuse Kemp a bit as he was over in Bydgoszcz last night. Good win for the Lions and a very deserved point for the Monarchs. Crowd was thin though. Shame coz if folk stayed away to watch the GP on tv they missed a gud meeting. Shame on folk who do that!.......set yer sky box to record!
  2. I'll be there tonight. Looks a good close battle with both teams at full strength with Morris and Worrall back from injury. I'd like to see Lions win to secure their play off place. Hoping for a Pirates v Lions Final
  3. Pirates will win everything so that's about it really. Burrrrrrrrp, whoops sorry I just had a can of coke
  4. Just because race times may be similar it doesn't always mean the track is as safe as the week before. I'm saying this for any track/meeting and not directly at this meeting as I wasn't there last night. Holes/bumps etc..... may occur on a line which a rider is using to pass but the race leader is not on that line so still posts a fast time. Think I've proved my point.
  5. Matt Ford would've got away with heat 8 if he was team manager!
  6. But isn't Godfrey the saviour of everything speedway?!
  7. Dunno, but Douglas still not listed on the BSPA website. Not even on their twitter feed
  8. Giddy up boys giddy up......Doncaster races! Great ur gonna make it, only 2 furlongs to go on the all weather track!
  9. Excellent! I love it, just love it, when it rains!
  10. Matt Ford as tweeted it we've been reliably informed. Either way I'm confident the Pirates will win
  11. Catch a plane, Tai as a private jet there! I'm sure he won't mind Shame you can't do a Starsky and Hutch........ Go lads, u can make it.........
  12. I'll be at the Lions Den tomorrow @justathought
  13. I wonder if any of the Poole team, wherever they are coming from, are facing delays? If so meeting cud av delayed start. Dunno, best I could throw into the pot as my directional knowledge is no good.
  14. Or I should say Long Eaton as been permanently dull since the end of 1997!!!!
  15. Dry but overcast in Long Eaton where I am!...... oh whoops Scunny? sowee dunno
  16. Tablets, oh aye I take plenty of them! ......don't seem to work very well tho
  17. Wish I was at Scunny tonight alas not to be. Will be following the scores tho with mahoosive interest! C'mon the Mighty Pirates! oh and a Lion King!........get it? Lion=Douglas King=Gilkes! Hey c'mon I tried
  18. That's what I would like to know otherwise some of my posts will look a tad stoopid!
  19. You never know, many things can happen to change the final score. Where does it say that Douglas is guesting? I'm not on facebook, twitter etc.... Not forgetting Dan Gilkes guesting at reserve, he's a great prospect
  20. How the rain can come in handy at times!! Ere comes the rain la la la laaaa Ere comes the win la la la laaaa Lugless Douglas, just luvvin it when a Lion guests for us!
  21. All the best to Schlein. Surely there as got to come a time when all this isolating business as got to come to an end. If u've had 2 vaccines then get on with it unless u feel to ill to ride. Pirates still to win, I predict 47-43 with Basso on the Gasso being the Pirate to be the rider of the meeting! C'mon the Pirates!
  22. They supposed to be having 2 rising stars per team next year but how can this possibly happen. Even if they managed to fill approx 36 positions what happens when it comes to injuries? The competive ability of young riders to completey fill these positions just isn't there and they will be half a lap behind if not more by the end of the race. The last time they had 2 rising stars & injuries occurred the replacements were way behind even in the reserves race. Not the rider's fault, just the stupid rules!
  23. One league, 5 riders per team of which one must be a rising star, 15 heats, I'm thinking this will give riders more rides per meeting (minimum 6 rides for the top 4 each + the no.5 minimum 4 rides, then the nominated heat) therefore cutting out the need to race for 2 teams. Those who are riding for 2 teams at the moment, which is most riders, will still have the same number of meetings under the new system (depending upon which clubs start next season). And have a handicap style cup competition. Keep the NDL.
