On paper Pirates shud av won and if you would like my experience of all things speedway I've been goin for 42 years, travelled the UK & Europe. Bandits did themselves proud & both sides had mixed fortunes with Havvy makin a reet couple of duff calls. Maybe he asked Hume to ride in heat 12, dunno.......riders do turn rides down, dunno. We can be quick to judge before we know the facts. Fair play to The Bandits, I thought we wud win by 10 tonight but we didn't. Move on...........

Whatever the weather is where u are I can assure u it's a Wee wet up this neck of the woods! Hope it stops quick, need sum chippies! Not seen any crankies yet, maybe they don't like the rain!

I hope Birmingham survive but you do realise that the crowds need to be bigger each week and not just for one night only. Therefore those who went tonight purely to boost the crowd, which is great, need to also go on a regular basis otherwise it's just a false dawn.

Hope Birmingham survive, I follow speedway all over the country and have visited Perry Barr on many occasions always staying over in the nearby hotel. I don't know wot marketing as been done but as the local student population been tapped into at all? I hope the walloping at Leicester hasn't disheartened the promotion & the supporters even more. It angered me when a few weeks back they were allowed a full house 18,000 for the cricket at Edgbaston yet just down the road at Birmingham speedway they cudn't open because of the restrictions Test event or not this demonstrated the madness of the rules around covid. Hope the Brummies survive -

I remember Shane Parker riding round butt naked but even he was told........ "You can leave your hat on!" -
I will be travelling up to Edinburgh and it will be my first ever visit there in 42 years of following speedway so very much looking forward to it, staying in Bathgate and hope the weather holds. I have visited Newcastle and Berwick on many occasions in the past with Berwick being a very nice area to visit. May also go to Newcastle but unfortunately my travel plans haven't allowed me to see the the Pirates at Berwick. Toughest test is at Armadale but having seen them win at Leicester the lads can do the bizzo! C'mon the Pirates C'mon Danyon Super Hume-an

Hope to see IOW back in the NDL one day soon, I notice in this week's Star that Jason Pipe is now realising that the points limit was too low. U cud say that hindsight is a wonderful thing but Martin & Barry av foresight which is even more wonderful. That's why they look after everyone so well. Keep up the great work all on the Isle

Agreed, at one point I was updating me mates on the tractor racing Par meeting for me, agreed with Ben and Sam were the stand outs. Ben is a real pocket rocket, I was in the pits afterwards and to think he races a speedway bike like he does, oh my mind blowing. Sam was the match winner for the Colts, was as fast as anyone.......came in did the job, sorted! Best effort in a race came from Tom Spencer Heat 14 was a real showcase of courageous never give in racing. The Pie Man tho just had too much meat in his potato Tom nearly held off the more experienced JPB in heat 3, again a great effort by Tom but was taken on the last lap. Colts win 47-42, Cubs just failed to land a blow when it mattered.
