100% right. He has to ask himself what his problem is. He's in an all conquering team with clearly excellent team spirit and acts like a spoilt brat. He's unlikely to get such a supportive Club in terms of the overall package and opportunity again as Poole and Wolves in respective Leagues. It's him who is the problem and he needs someone to sit him down and tell him that and to then mentor him and help him. His average means he is in a bracket with a number who may not get a team place in 2022 but who are FAR better Team players. It's not inconceivable his only action initially may be POlish Under 24 League!

May be you should read his very extensive interview. I'm by no stretch of the imagination a fan of his but it's a pretty detailed explanation on a number of topics and very interesting. He is lets not forget now a Director of BSPL. As are others at the top table. That's a far more responsible position than the old Management Committee and its now a Limited Company listed at Companies House. A lot who criticise him haven't the balls to take on the role nor the responsibility. He deserves resect for that, however much you may agree or disagree with his ability in doing the role.

Probably UK with an average lower than 3 to get 2 x Aussies in on 4 / 5 point averages. Better than Ablitt in their opinion Perm from Henry Atkins or Kyle Bickley ?

Rory is a proud man who is also a consistently fast starter. He'll be double figures every home meeting. Leon is very quick round there so they'll be strong in vital heats. The rumour they were very keen on one home one away to fit in full NDL suggests shrewd budgeting. Aim to get good home crowds with narrow close wins, aim to get decent NDL crowds for a fraction of the cost.

Been told 7 are certain to start Belle Vue Leicester Berwick Edinburgh (Armadale) Oxford Kent Workington ------- Plymouth unlikely to run dus to rider availability issues (may consider alternative night to Tuesday) Mildenhall (serious misgivings after some issues last season with Track / Weather / late Call Off's affecting Crowds and viability) Would seem that Mildenhall + Plymouth will make final commitment at Meeting early next week.

Every team will have numerous options and permutations. The beatification of Saint Matt is truly hilarious. Patron Saint of Hairdressers.

I'm pretty sure I read that the Rent last season was based on a figure set for 20 meetings. That means with a gurantee of only 11 this season, hopefully more of course, that Nigel will either have to pay MORE per meeting or has he been able to re-negotiate. Brummies were allegedly one of the Clubs supporting 1 home and 1 away, so presumably he'd rather pay more Rent for fewer Meetings than less Rent for what they think are too many Meetings. A case of trying to break even with quality over quantity rather then losing another shed load when there is simply more than people can realistically pay for. £20 a meeting 11 times is £220 £18 a meeting 17 times (2 home + KOC and assuming no Shield) is £306 Hopefully enough will come out for those 11 meetings to justify the incredible financial commitment the Owners are making. I will say now that good health permitting that I will attend all 11 Fixtures currently planned and buy a season Ticket as they are good value.

Sedgeman exceeded expectations last season. He rediscovered his hunger for the sport. Let's hope that edge remains. Cracking rider when he wants to be.

Brennan is very keen I've been told, helps him get in to Poland more by riding home matches midweek.
-
I believe that this Team comes in at just under 39 points and is under serious consideration with no need to worry about possible Visa issues of any NEW Aussies but giving chance to line at least one up who is riding in Europe for possible inclusion during the season Steve Worrall Richard Lawson Ben Cook Zach Cook Jack Thomas Alfie Bowtell Nathan Ablitt

He is! Team now 99% set.

Redcar will delighted you're going to allow one of their valued assets (Edwards) to ride for them.

Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)
HGould replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think they did. Watched Stocks feature on Top Gear from KL the other week and it looks awful with that concrete. Not been to KL for about 20 years. Used to be brilliant track in the 70s and 80s. Shame they couldn't have put some green dye in the concrete mix. -

Arlington had lights on centre green and outside track Lakeside had lights on centre green. Benefit is they avoid dark areas beneath bags. Best of course are lights over track like a lot of the older dog tracks. -
Time will tell, be interesting to see what happens with their bottom end, assuming they keep Ablitt, which is a no brainer as there isn't a better 2 point option at the moment, they'd need a strong reserve and Bowtell had his best year last year Away from home, which was always his achilles heel.

The problem at Leicester isn't so much the lights but the height the Poles are at. They are too low and you get a dark area by the Air Fence. If they are that height due to Planning the obvious solution would be to put some on the Centre Green aimed at the base of the Air bags. -
Bowtell and young West looking more likely by the day. Young West by the way has an impressive list of Poole legends and Contacts mentoring him. Suspect he'll be signed and possibly then loaned to an NDL Club (has qualification). Darcy / Boycey / Mick Holder and Kurtz senior amongst those assisting him.

Would be great to see some dad or grandad of a young rider turn up with a 2 bike Trailer or a Citroen Safari....

Michael West - look him up, up and coming young rider in Oz...Poole bound! No Fred or Rose jokes - honest

The most logical reasons (1) Your internet speed means it can't access before a timer cuts you out (2) They don't have specifically large server capability and at peak times (like when they indicated an update of AGM on social media, demand exceeds server space and you have to wait for usage to drop. (3) You've upset them in some way or your IP address has been reported. (4) Try clearinh your Cookies - On Chrome - Press the 3 dots on the top right hand corner, go to bottom of the 4 boxes and click on "More Tools" then click on Clear Browsing Data and then "Cookies and Other Site Data" if you want also do "Cached issues and files" - I'd try 7 days if that doesn't work try a month. (You dont have to wait for it to all be done you can try whilst its running as if it clears the cache quite early in the processing and you can get on if you want you can press cancel. Hope one of these works or explains options/causes

Told ya all last week. Alfie Bowtell.

When have I said "close to management". Fans / Supporters and some who work on match nights who have heard rumours and seen things like brennan when he guested for us at end of last season and was very happy to spend far more time than actual team members and chatted to those around him.

Rumour mill from contacts who support or know insiders at PB. If Glasgow had gone up Brennan was nailed on I was told and may not be a dead option even now. Bomber wants a Midweek Track to optimise Weekend on Long/Grass Tracks, based where he now is and dislike of the Track puts him off Plymouth so toss up Brummies or Oxford. Sedgeman might go to Glasgow IF Tom was loaned out. Howarth , Starke are going elsewhere. Hadn't heard anything about Nick Morris but i can see the logic in it. Complin a strong possibility and possibly Paco coming back (even though Edinburgh still in League as ideal again midweek option). The other possibility if free would be Danny King.

No brainer for me. Little P has had a season to acclimatise, showed real signs of talent and will definitely up that average in 2023. I've heard so many rumours but think Sedgeman is pretty much nailed on to return. Not as sure as I was about Pickering but think Tom Brennan might be one to watch out for and possibly Bomber.
