  1. The most logical reasons (1) Your internet speed means it can't access before a timer cuts you out (2) They don't have specifically large server capability and at peak times (like when they indicated an update of AGM on social media, demand exceeds server space and you have to wait for usage to drop. (3) You've upset them in some way or your IP address has been reported. (4) Try clearinh your Cookies - On Chrome - Press the 3 dots on the top right hand corner, go to bottom of the 4 boxes and click on "More Tools" then click on Clear Browsing Data and then "Cookies and Other Site Data" if you want also do "Cached issues and files" - I'd try 7 days if that doesn't work try a month. (You dont have to wait for it to all be done you can try whilst its running as if it clears the cache quite early in the processing and you can get on if you want you can press cancel. Hope one of these works or explains options/causes
  2. Told ya all last week. Alfie Bowtell.
  3. When have I said "close to management". Fans / Supporters and some who work on match nights who have heard rumours and seen things like brennan when he guested for us at end of last season and was very happy to spend far more time than actual team members and chatted to those around him.
  4. Rumour mill from contacts who support or know insiders at PB. If Glasgow had gone up Brennan was nailed on I was told and may not be a dead option even now. Bomber wants a Midweek Track to optimise Weekend on Long/Grass Tracks, based where he now is and dislike of the Track puts him off Plymouth so toss up Brummies or Oxford. Sedgeman might go to Glasgow IF Tom was loaned out. Howarth , Starke are going elsewhere. Hadn't heard anything about Nick Morris but i can see the logic in it. Complin a strong possibility and possibly Paco coming back (even though Edinburgh still in League as ideal again midweek option). The other possibility if free would be Danny King.
  5. No brainer for me. Little P has had a season to acclimatise, showed real signs of talent and will definitely up that average in 2023. I've heard so many rumours but think Sedgeman is pretty much nailed on to return. Not as sure as I was about Pickering but think Tom Brennan might be one to watch out for and possibly Bomber.
  6. Thats presumably why they and Oxford allegedly vetoed the 2 home and 2 away CL matches so that they could remain faithful to their plans to develop young talent via NDL route. Laudible if true. Personally I think its harder for Plymouth to run NDL midweek as a lack of riders available regularly due to geographic location. I wouldn't be surprised if they ran CL only and focused on quality over quantity in terms of Fixtures. I've heard that Birmingham preferred that route.
  7. Let's hope for the sake of all concerned, especially the child, that it's life is not caught up in a horrible tug of war amidst animosity of parents. No child deserves that.
  8. very valid point. Suppose its a calculation as the what's better , possibly more points from Bowtell at Home as opposed to probably more points from Starke Away and balancing that over Home and Away Fixtures.
  9. It's the age old question re Speedway If you support a Football Team (as many Speedway fans do), a Rugby Team (either Code as many do), or any other type of Sports Team, the habit is ALTERNATING Fixtures / Weeks Supporters tune to it and plan around it. Very few drift away because they can't go every week. Speedway though has always been different. Some of the Promoters of the past, and they were PROMOTERS in the actual sense that they could promote, did base everything on the weekly continuity. However, times have changed, attitudes have changes, alternative options have massively increased. The Clubs no longer want more Meeting to make more profit, rather, less means losing LESS and possibly optimise support by getting more through the gates. There will be many who can't afford to go every week but who may be able to afford to go every fortnight. If people can't adapt to that I personally think that their mentality towards Speedway is the issue and not the Promoters or Clubs. The issue there is that the age dymanic of the Sport is old, declining and very much stuck in their ways. As anyone who has been to some tracks as an Away supporter and dared sit or stand in a spot that is unmarked and not reserved, yet someone who has been there for 30,40,50 years then comes along and offers a mouthful of abuse, will testify! -ahem!
  10. Plymouth will be strong at home with or without Bowtell. The choice though between Bowtell or Starke on those averages, if it was between the pair , especially Away ; would be an absolute no-brainer.
  11. CL even with more common sense pay restraint would be financial suicide for Mildenhall and Kent, at their current venue. Better to find a level where you can be sustainable and be pragmatic.
  12. Not surprised that trolls and bots have no emotional intelligence such as sense of humour. One dimensional AI
  13. Been practising at Sandbanks beach apparently
  14. Alfie Bowtell might be a decent shout. Be a good reserve and can win races at Poole, just needs to be awarded the win points when he actually wins races.
  15. I've no idea. I'm only telling you what I was told.
  16. I was led to believe Berwick were one of the Clubs and Oxford. The reason was their commitment to young riders and the NDL. They'd have lost too much on double headers and in Oxford's case need to run Wednesdays. The other Club wanted fewer meetings to try to reduce losses although they'd still have to pay full rent. So more rent per meeting but likely better crowds over 11 matches than more than 17. It shocked me that the club named was Brummies but having thought about it I can understand the logic of trying to have break even over fewer matches. My source is a Brummie fan/helper usually in the know.
  17. Not for those who like regular speedway it isn't. Might be a godsend though financially to have fortnightly meetings for many fans
  18. Yeah got dates mixed Tuesday night I posted re structural change after the meeting and Monday about Ford jumping the gun possibly b4 the meeting. Correct on both 3 Clubs objected to 2 home and 2 away which result in c change and egg on Mr Ford face. Leaky Dan as he's now known
  19. Flagged up Monday night after the AGM to expect a significant CL structural change and that Mr Ford would look silly by saying Monday was a rubber stamping exercise. Thats factually correct on significant structural change and Mr Ford is it not?
  20. Rumours are 3 Clubs objected as two are mega keen to run NDL and would not have had enough dates to do so profitably. The other Club I'm told was due despite a high rent were happier riding fewer matches paying more rent than too many matches and losing too much by riding too many matches. Whilst taking all info with a pinch of salt I can see the logic in both cases. I totally agree with you about the original plans being made public and MR D FORD should certainly be removed for his silly comments to his local media about a "rubber stamping exercise and all agreed" - which clearly it wasn't It does mean if a CL Club fails to make play offs and progress in cup and shield its just 11 fixtures , if you have NDL as well though you still have a nice season of fixtures.
  21. CL not 2 home and 2 away but 1 home and 1 away is a massive U-TURN! Just 11 guaranteed Fixtures if you don't make PLay Offs and progress in KOC or Micky Mouse Shield.
  22. As rumoured...and expected 1 Home and 1 Away. A U-Turn / C-Change as anticipated by rumours after Mondays Meeting. Can't imagine many Riders will be happy!
  23. Nothing new in the Star re League structures and it seems was written in advance of AGM and doesn't cover the specific PL and CL issues raised on the day that caused delay in announcement. We'll have to wait and see re both if any announcement today. If rumours are correct I think biggest news will concern CL and significant change of plans. PL if rumours are correct isn't about number of Teams or Structures but something more specific that raised a few concerns for all teams. Hopefully we'll all know more later on today although this lot could appoint Liz Truss to head up U-Turns Team and find her inexperienced.
