I would like to say this is no longer a devopment league but thats fair enough fans pay the wages and bums on seats make the difference . Good luck to all the oldies and championship and preniership riders who are given spots they have worked hard to ride their bikes and im sure the league and racing will be top qualatie And i mean that sincerly
-
To be fair owens beat mark a cany bit over the last few years liam has only ever beat owen once . Owen had the higest average in njl from a non ndl rider until last two meeting when it went ** up. Think laylen had only beat owen in one meeting. Its hard for owen to devlop when he doesnt get a chance. But im always going to say that cos im baised Lots of love mate Paul

Just a quick comment Owen did have poor guest perfermaces last year Guested for belvue at edinburgh was well on the pace but two bad crashes really hurt him we dro e through the nighg to guest for fox cubs at liecester with a bodged togther bike and owen not being able to move and he didnt score. Next guest was for plymouth riding at number 2 ( he is not fast enough for numner 2) racing cairns and thompson was hard lol. In the njl he beat mark and number of times at edinburgh once at berwick. And liam he beat in all but one race . Unfortunatley owen always seems to get over looked for a reserve spot for a team place but he keeps trying and we keep trying to learn set ups. It hard to learn and progress when only doing second halfs and the odd practise day He is looking forwad to riding this year so hopfully a bit better luck lol. Hope every rider in the NL.(minus the D) has a great safe season . I am.looking forwad to the warm nights watching bikes and getting stressed lol Paul (always share my name) -
Worst one for us last year was bike troubles and we could not sort it in the 15 20 min so owen missed all three races . Bike was fine before we left home to travel dowm but hey sometimes that happens
-
Unfortunalety there is very few teams for the whole season so lots of time off apart from practise session what is not as good as racing . Second halfs are good and my lad has always been suported by all the clubs but 3 races in 15-20 mins is hard to make changes to set ups

Just reading this thread . How is this laughable . My family are not a rich family myself partner and son all work and pay for his riding what cost a lot . At times it really hard to get time of work especially for rearnaged meetings when we have took leave for the first meeting thats been cancelled .i would guess this is the same for most parents or hopfull riders. If the sport was perfect then NDL and NJL would take place over a weekend of bank holidays to allow familys to earn and pay. As they say its ment to be a devepoment league

I personally think it's down to cost for a lot of people also when you think Redcar don't run practice days or amature meetings any more because of lack of entries last year so there's less rides apart from second halfs and some amature meetings at Scunthorpe . For my lad to race scunny in amature race it's around 120 pounds all in entry diesel food. For a second half for us to travel to Edinburgh Glasgow for diesel and some food problys 80 pound. It certainly adds up -

After the above score Berwick academy drew with West Lothian wildcats on the 2nd may at Edinburgh 18 each. Berwick academy then won at home 27 7 I think against Redcar cubs last night. Berwick academy away to Glasgow tonight -

Only time we have been stopped riding is either due to rain or because of a accident during the meeting and time has run out what is totally acceptable -

Just to say Owen has never been treat with contempt at any club doing second halfs he has always been welcomed Before Owen was working money was an issue as diesel and bike cost do make it hard for a normal family but we rode when possible. this year is looking sparse for him at the moment but I'm sure he will be welcomed for second half racing . Carnt wait to get going -
