  1. Surprised you care. Probably best for you to avoid poking around in StarsvWitches rivalry as you stir up a hornets nest.
  2. Does NORA exercise any control over ‘promoters’?
  3. Kevin Jolly. Those who know have very long memories and will never, until the end of time itself, listen to any crocodile tears flooding from the eyes from the Witches and their supporters
  4. If I comment about the hail at Buxton, it’s because I think of it as a badge of honour. 😀 boy was I glad of a really hot cup of tea. but can we have a warm day for when Lynn go. I’m a southern softie
  5. Lawson like all riders are freelance and self employed. it is therefore his responsibility to pay for his kit. when my computer blew up, I paid for a new one. That’s how it works.
  6. Spot on. I left Twitter X more than a year ago for that reason. When Twitter began there was a really nice group of speedway fans who interacted. Long gone.
  7. There were Friday fixtures in Poland. Friday is not a Premier League designated day Stocks will rule roost at tracks where they race and they will pick days to suit them. So few fixtures these days, might as well race in summer rather than the Easter snow as we often used to,
  8. Shocked Speedway Star used Hawkins to preview season. Hardly a neutral and to me it shone through in his words about the Stars - or am I too sensitive to anything that comes out of the cauldron?
  9. Looking forward to seeing Stars in action. To me there seems to be plenty of entertainers in the team. That’s great. A few years ago there were those who disappointed on that score. No names, no pack drill. I can accept defeats (we’ve seen a few !) but if riders try all the way, I will clap and support. I like to be entertained so if you win the race, pick up the flag, wheelies, wave but no straight back to the pits unless extenuating circumstances. Because of where I live, it costs me thousands of pounds to see the Stars each year. No complaints on that score but I do love telling people what a good night it has been. This year’s team looks set to deliver. Well done to Keith, Rob, Dale and the KL speedway team. Cant wait to get trackside. Boy was it cold for Nicolai testimonial.
  10. In my experience Nora is a clear step down from NDL. The lack of a league is, to me, a massive disadvantage: each Nora meeting is standalone. Also, the meetings I have seen run to a baffling, contrived formula which, I was told on here is what clubs choose to do. Nora better than nothing, however, and I will support on hope of NDL next year
  11. As ever, winning at home is crucial, hopefully with some exciting racing.
  12. Nothing new in having an ‘old hand’ as rider/coach. It was commonplace in division two days. Also Lynn need to be competitive to get a big enough crowd to pay the bills. Also, if you read the Kent eagles track review in the Star, you will see how they lament not having such a rider when they came up against a grippy track at Lynn. Not that it was very grippy but it was by Iwade standards.
  13. Lynn looked to have a decent hard core support for NDT last year. Some local lads with Scott ,Harrison and Rushen entertained by and large. Caught people’s imagination.
