  1. Don't have much points left to play with and Rowe is a much better bet than a rider like Sarjeant for example.
  2. Fixture clashes are going to happen at any track considering the amount of weekend meetings that take place in the Championship.
  3. At the end of the day I'm right because it's a fact of life. It just turned out to be another Buczkowski situation that's all where the rider was interested in a British return but obviously a deal didn't get done.
  4. Haven't even read the post on the Glasgow thread.
  5. I never said Smolinski is going to ride here. You've Quoted the wrong poster lol.
  6. Teams normally put the weakest 1-5 rider at No.2 and the strongest second string at No.4. No.4 is normally a rider a club has more confidence in winning a crucial Heat 14 for example. No.2 is an easier role because you're riding with the club's No.1 three times who should be doing the business which takes the pressure off the second string a little bit.
  7. Lawson would score the same whether it's 1, 3 or 5 imo because he's one of the top performers in the league who knows the majority of tracks inside out by now.
  8. Sounds good. Another final my Panthers are going to be in then.
  9. Josh Auty, Paco Castagna, Jack Thomas, James Shanes, Ashley Morris +2 more. (Bates, Proctor, S. Nielsen, Newman) The list isn't promising tbh. But at least you've got a team.
  10. Great news about Birmingham. They'll be left with the scraps as everyone has signed contracts elsewhere by now but you've got a team and that's the main thing. Best you'll probably get with what's left in the market. 1. Josh Auty 2. Jack Thomas 3. Paco Castagna 4. Kyle Newman 5. Josh Bates 6. James Shanes 7. Ashley Morris
  11. Not sure they could get a top 6 spot tbh with that 1-7 tbh. Cook's at 2 & 4 is just too risky considering the stats from this season. It's effectively 3 HL's and 4 reserves on the road with no second strings.
  12. Just for the record I think both Cook's have potential to be good riders (Not saying they're poor riders) Just got to let them develop and progress without throwing them in at the deep end and expecting them to do a job in the 1-5. Have to consider Kemp too and how he wouldn't be able to carry a 2.00 pointer most weeks when up against a Berwick with Etheridge at reserve, Glasgow with Hume & Bailey, Scunny with Kennedy and Leicester with the rumoured Anders Rowe just to name a few examples.
  13. I've been told by a reliable source that Rasmus Jensen is interested in a British return. Would you take him Aces fans?
  14. Build a more solid 1-7 that's plays to the riders strengths. Ablitt hasn't even found his feel at NDL level yet. Using GBSpeedway.com for in depth performance stats for each rider and it doesn't make for good reading when it comes to the Cook's riding in the 1-5 on the road. Z. Cook's stats on the road in the 1-5 1st places = 2 2nd places = 4 3rd places = 16 4th places = 11 B. Cook's stats on the road in the 1-5 1st places = 1 2nd places = 5 3rd places = 6 4th places = 10 The side posted on this page is just so unbalanced with riders being asked to a job out of position. The HL trio putting up 36 a meeting is unrealistic on the road as well considering teams will be built with big hitting track specialists.
  15. Sounds like the team they're going with and I'm not convinced with that 1-7 tbh for a number of reasons. Poole fans will disagree and that's fine. The top three won't get 36 a meeting against any decent side on the road tbh with the way some teams are lining up with 3 big hitters themselves as well as Home track specialists. Both Cook's are riding out of position and Ablitt would be non existent at reserve every week and it's relying too heavily on Kemp to keep the reserve battle close.
  16. Are Poole 100% running next season? Just thought I'd ask considering the rent Issue, No team announcements and no season ticket applications being taken.
  17. 1. Troy Batchelor 8.98 2. Cameron Heeps 4.95 3. Adam Ellis 7.46 4. Stefan Nielsen 4.67 5. Scott Nicholls 8.95 6. Zane Keleher 4.15 7. Jason Edwards 2. Something.
  18. Poole would be making a big mistake to go top heavy next season. Ben Cook at 4 is too risky. Fine at No.2 but his average is mostly built on a spell at reserve. Riding at 4 last season his home Av was 4.00 and Away it was 3.50 (No B Points) Zach Cook in the 1-5 is a no no imo because he wasn't good at all on the road last season 3.38 Away GSA inc bonus. Have to build the 1-7 to get Zach riding at No.6 Any team building plans should start with the following formula imo to give the team balance and to ensure certain riders ride at a certain number that suits them best. One of S. Worrall or Lawson to join DK (All three is a mistake as it leaves riders riding out of position and asks them to punch above their weight at this moment in time) 1. Steve Worrall 2. Ben Cook 3. 4. 5. Danny King 6. Zach Cook 7. Drew Kemp or 1. Danny King 2. Ben Cook 3. 4. 5. Richard Lawson 6. Zach Cook 7. Drew Kemp
  19. Nielsen was one of the riders who was pencilled in the 1-7 before the Plymouth drama so I would imagine Hume was the other who also had to be released like you said.
  20. BV obviously struggling to put together a 1-7. Letting the Worrall's go may have been a stupid move considering no contracts were signed with replacement riders.
