British Selection For 2007
Hazzman replied to Gaz W's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
If you are going to simplify it that much, you still lose in saying Stead is the stronger rider. I can take that in account your claim that British wildcard could be dictated on GB form but on the same token, here is only round in the UK and the GPs have two rounds each in Sweden and Poland. So its only significant that we look at Harris and Stead's international averages in Poland and Sweden. Harris wins. Personally I feel the Polish and Swedish leagues have more weight and crediablity considering the quality of teams is much stronger. -
I am still in shock at Bjerre's 'use the grass as a bit of grip and say goodbye to two riders at once' move. Jonasson looks good, a battler and Crump rightly said he was hard done by at times.

Often the case, Olsen ruins the best tracks in the world. Your English is good by the way, better than some people on here.

What a ride from Loram in Heat 12 of the Piraterna - VMS Elit. and Kenny Bjerre in Heat 15. Richardson and Walasek are friends Best commentators ever. Will the Vasterik match tomorrow be on this site?

I have presented a decent fact, Richardson obviously feels more at home in Sweden and has been struggling in UK. The top riders on the form seem to score points in the EL than anywhere else, why? You didnt find that answer. Just look at some the EL's also-rans, how valued they are abroad, they are simply also-rans. The averages which you say are debateable because of 7 man teams, Poland rides with 8 man teams, many times the 8th spot is blank because they have one scheduled ride and Sweden despite the extra heat have a long and complication way of levelling the average off. Most of all, have you ever seen a match from abroad in Sweden and Poland? You see these bore-fests which come on Sky, quite a few I may add from your home track. One rider storms off from the gate, leaving others behind. Then elsewhere its racing, in and out of each other. I will happlily count the passes for you from the Elite League Play-Off Final 2005 and then the E-liga Play-off Final 2005. One example, Tomasz Chranowski, he's a Pole, he should do well in Poland, heres been doing incredible in the EL. Poland 7.43 UK 8.43!!! Sweden 5.93!!! In Poland hes third heat leader/second string status, comes here hes second heat leader status and in Sweden he's a lower second string. Just so its not a rider from either of the three countries, Niels Kristian-Iversen Poland 6.79 UK 7.96 Sweden 7.05 Another rider who finds a lot more easier to score points in the UK. Why is that, Drop A Cog? -

Not really. We were just proving what the strongest league was, thereby taking into an account that a rider being a better quality than another one would be show in his Swedish and Polish averages. Which Harris does over Stead. -

I am going to take the top 3 averages of each league, the league which has the lowest three should be the hardest. UK Crump 11.28, Adams 10.61, Andersen 10.52 32.31 Sweden Adams 10.51, N.Pedersen 10.35, Hancock 9.74 30.60 Poland Crump 10.65, N.Pedersen 10.15, Hancock 9.88 30.68 How come Crump, Adams and Andersen find so much easier to acculamate a bigger average in UK because the opposition is weaker. -

13 Riders out of the 15 regulars ride in Poland with Zagar contracted to ride when he wants. 12 riders out of the 15 GP regulars ride in GB. 14 riders out of the 15 GP regulars ride in Sweden with Crump contracted to ride when he wants. Britain loses out. This is including Andersen, excluding Rickardsson. Temporary spells in the UK dont count. Thats the top 15 riders in the World (debatable but its the way some idle thumb in the FIM sees it). Main riders should be contracted to the main leagues if they want to suceed. Lets look at the second tier of riders, wild cards. 3 out of 8 ride in Britain (Kasprzak, Stead, Lindgren) 7 out of 8 ride in Poland 6 out of 8 ride in Sweden. Britian loses out again, look through the GP Qualifier Final, its a similar story. -

Thats rubbish mate. When the Swedish and Polish are a lot more stronger than the Elite League with the 40 pts limit. Why do the big riders choose them two countries? -

Thats rubbish, you cant discard the swedish average just because of Jonas. If I remember quite rightly didnt Jonas look the bees knees in one of last year's Swedish GPs. He's just an extreme case and what about Jagus and many other Poles which continue to be in Top 20 in the Polish averages? -
I have a feeling Gollob may not do it around the Mecca (I'll miss you this year), I can see AJ making it a night for Polonia fans to remember.

Thats what I am hoping. Hopefully one of the Liga 2 sides might have a re-arranged meeting on the Saturday and then hit somewhere showing the GP (if they will be on) the same night. -

We have already mentioned the fact that Bomber carries a higher average over Steady in both main foreign leagues of Poland and Sweden. Despite the fact in Poland, he has had to be a heat leader in a very poor side. -
Yeh.

Any news on Nicholls, was he at the practise. Normally in my experience, a good track soaking the night before does good to the track. Just seen a picture of the most exciteable rider in the GPs. Noticed a change of colours from Nicki Pedersen, Green and White now.

I have been Bydgoszcz last year. Fell in love with the place and Gdansk. Hopefully, if all goes to plan I am set to go for 8 days sometime next year. Once I get some money in the piggy bank. -
They are not showing it live, live! Just a slightly delay. They have done it before with the Slovenian GP.

Have you got a recent British GP programme, they have all details from the previous years GPs. -
WIESLAW Jagus will get an early chance to get to grips with life in the Speedway Grand Prix - as he has been nominated as the Wild Card at Bydgoszcz in the final round of the 2006 series on September 23. Jagus recently won the GP Qualifying Final in Sweden and so will be a permanent rider in the series next year, but first competes in this month's Polish GP. Track reserves for the event have also been confirmed, with newly-crowned World Under-21 Champion Karol Zabik taking one of the berths alongside World Cup participant Janusz Kolodziej from Speedwayworld.tv We will see how Jagus can keep on the pace.
