  1. I'd rather see Harris failing than either Richardson or Loram. Stead would be a bit too unstable for the stage. It could be a major blow to his confidence if he was to struggle in the GPs. Harris would relish the challenge and fight, he wouldnt base his career around the GPs either and much needed sponsorship will come his way.
  2. Is Nicholls in or out? I want to see some more fireworks. Like him or not, he creates enterainment.
  3. Its probably Russian but they can be conflicting translation because your computer is set to English language creating weird letters even more weirder than Russian.
  4. Plus a way of appeasing the fans for an awful season.
  5. I would highly recommend anyone here longer than the weekend to visit Gdansk, it what we done last year from Bydgoszcz and its a great city, trains not a probelm and speedway on top would be like a cherry.
  6. There is cons and plus to this degree but the GP series does allows the better riders to more likely push towards the top. So this formula does not work because the field of the World Finals and the one-off format meant that the top riders were more likely to miss the podium. The pts on this formula count second and thirds. Mauger loses because he misses out on a third in one world final.
  7. Thats a tad wrong...surely Mauger rode at a time when the strength of the field was more and that it was one chance at winning, not 9. Lets face it Loram would not have won a World Championship if it was the World Final system. The same with Fundin and Briggs
  8. It is not that bad...I was quite happy in it...had a laugh We were lined up to go the Sporting Hotel which was lovely but by the time we had a shower in AJ's room (he was booked in there), we were chucked out as there had been a mix-up.
  9. I would suggest looking at Gdansk and Torun but we got a hotel this time last year. We were only the British people in there and it was a dumb. At least 2 miles away from Bydgoszcz centre, it was next to a chemical plant which had planes and mystery trains going into it. I had laugh however. No-one could speak English there, it was good how it was Solidarity weekend last year around and lots of things were happening around the Chemik. The Chemik was last stop on the tram line. Hotel Chemik, its lovely.
  10. Its been done before with the Slovenian GP, esp. on days when loads of British international teams are playing.
  11. Wroclaw took full advantage of the rules concerning foreigners building their team late. The inclusion of Andersen was a blessing in disguise having the top two riders in the world. Teams like Bydgoszcz were left marooned with only having one foreigner in their team. Tarnow were very poor and the future looks bleak for them. The 8 riders system didnt work and the new play-offs didnt create any exciteable ending to the season like last year's play-off final.
  12. Updated and edited to make it more 'neat'.
  13. The answer is no as normal league is on and Torun are not at home. The nearest league meeting is Liga 1 Gniezno and then there are more meeting further a field with Ostrow in Liga 1 and Poznan in Liga 2. All E-Liga meetings are in the south of the country making them very difficult to get to.
  14. I know you enquired about the semi-final at Leszno, its available to watch on www.tv9.pl.
  15. You could reserve it and say look at Bomber's SWC displays and Polish and Swedish league averages. Bomber has done very well in the hardest league of Polish with a team out of their depth in the top division, Rybnik. Stead can not keep his place at Torun. I personally feel both of them are not ready and this would cause more than good. We will see whether they could riders if they can recover from the disappointment of not getting in the GPs and use it as positive energy, spurrring them on.
  16. I don't think Jagus would be great at GP level but he would be on the pace.
  17. Some mentioned Jagus will be Chranowski Mark II. I don't think this will be the case. Chranowski at the time of qualifying was a Liga 1 rider in Poland for his club Gdansk and he was not in the top 20 of averages in Poland. However, Jagus despite the foreign imports in Poland this season has remained there and came second in the Polish Final. Secondly, he is a good rider for his Swedish. Jagus has been a good rider in Poland and Sweden. He's just never hit the shores of Britain. He is probably on the same standard as Ulamek and Walasek, he should be a touch better than these two on the international tracks. Expect him to struggle at Cardiff and Copenhague however. The choice is as someone mentioned Harris, Stead or Karlsson? Regardless of Harris or Stead being out of their depth wouldnt it be nice to see a Brit be able to develop on the World stage. Lets not forget the sponsorship they would get through being on the world stage, something which has beena a probelm for Harris has been is lack of decent equipment. He has also kept his own in the failing Rynbik side in Poland.
  18. No need to attack the poster for my opinion. Nicholls despite the last 2 GPs has been a bottler and bottles it on the big occasion. 6th position does not get noted in the history books, top 3 does however.
  19. Jagus will now go on a tour of GPs. He will have an army of fans which follow him.
  20. I think Anders of this forum provided the updates in English.
  21. Well Jagus upsets the applecart. I feel sorry for Pk who was robbed by a baffling final system. Kolodziej misses out or replacing the unperforming Hampel?
  22. Well, Andersen was a sure fire winner for a wild card spot regardless of night. Him not getting in the top 3 tonight, he does not take one of the wild cards. So if the consistent failures get wild cards as expected and Richardson is dropped as deservely and expected. Then it leaves a 4th wild card probably for another Brit. Harris I feel has a slightly more get up and go feel to him than Stead. Stead seems too suffer from Nicholls disease.
  23. If Andersen gets in top 3, then Harris will get wild card slot as the 4th slot will be vacant.
  24. Protasiewics, Holta and Stead on the outskirts. I feel it may only take a win for Stead and a couple of constant seconds. He could be in the final.
