Is this a Coventry joke or the truth? We might not have won any league titles but surely we won a Cup of some sort. I know we had a few riders who appeared on the podium during the World Finals. And I heard we had one of the best tracks in the land.

Could some one please provide me with a list of Leicester's honours.

Well why do Sweden and Denmark have so many good youngsters coming through? Because of they have under-15 leagues. This is a marvellous idea.

Can you buy standing tickets on the day and would it be easy to get them?

Also Coventry is a bad race track. First Out, First Finished track.

I'm disappointed with it being at Coventry. It should be Poole.

Hazzman replied to sjw ministerofport's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Few questions Is it easy to get standing tickets on the day? How much did it cost you for the weekend in Wroclaw? Could I have responses off people who DIY made there way there and possibly who drive there. And who did use a tour company, how much was it and what company you travel with? -

Is is easy to get tickets for Wroclaw on the day Or better paying in advance? -
Im going Cardiff and Wroclaw for sure. I might be going Prague, Bygodzcz and Lonigo (but Lonigo isnt far from Bydgoszcz (in dates) and it would be difficult to recoup money) How much does Lonigo hold in capacity?

Interesting to see they only plumped for two man-made tracks. Are BSI learning? Yet still no venue for the GB round of the World Cup. I think it will be Poole. I was thinking that maybe City Of Manchester Stadium could be a good venue for Speedway. Its in the North instead of the South plus its had an athletics track in it. -
What was the format of Leicester Golden Gaunlets? I posted on the general speedway board and no answered

Heres the Speedway World Cups Teams and Details For The Qualifying Round QUALIFYING ROUND 1 June 4 Daugavpils, LAT Latvia USA Russia France QUALIFYING ROUND 2 June 4 Terenzano, ITA Italy Germany Hungary Slovenia Ye, U-S-A! and France!?! Interesting to see if USA will bring out the big riders, DOUBT IT though (possibly Billy Hamill). The second qualfiying round looks like it could be a quality meeting.

Here are the teams and venues for the Junior World Cup 2005 QUALIFYING ROUND 1 May 16 Abensberg, GER Austria, Germany, Sweden and USA QUALIFYING ROUND 2 August 27 Rybnik, POL Finland, France, Poland and Russia QUALIFYING ROUND 3 August 28 Holsted DEN Australia, Denmark, Norway and Ukraine FINAL October 1 Pardubuice, CZR Czech Republic plus winners of the Qualifying Rounds. Nice to see France, USA and Norway taking an active part. I actually think this idea for a tournament is a good one. Bloody Britain rejected the idea, I think throwing riders in at the deep end makes them better.

SPG Series 2004 - what are your thoughts?
Hazzman replied to a topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
This years SGP series started brilliant and was very exciting. With the forst five round all having talking points and good tracks. That was Speedway at its most sellable on SKY. After the British Grand Prix and the World Cup, Speedway started to receive a bit more press= equalling more potnetial fans. However the second half of the season was a massive letdown with Krsko being the only track to live up the billing. So this possibly dented possible speedway fans. On a lighter note, the Brits werent brilliant in this years and Lee Richardson establish himself as the best international rider. However suprise of the year must be Jaroslaw Hampel after a woeful year at Ipswich, he managed for a very good GP season despite the lack of experience. The leading light in my eyes was Andreas Jonsson who provides pure entertainment and I think in five years he will be world champ. Massive let-downs have to be Mark Loram, Ryan Sullivan and Mikael Max P.S. Get Ole Olsen out of the Gp's, as his pro-dane tensions are obivious. -

I agree how about not allowing Ole Olsen with a mile of the natural tracks and let the locals do it as they know best. However, Olsen best not mess up Cardiff, the greatest show on earth. -
30th APRIL POLAND TBC PROVISIONAL 14th MAY SWEDEN TBC PROVISIONAL 28th MAY SLOVENIA KRSKO PROVISIONAL 11th JUNE GREAT BRITAIN CARDIFF CONFIRMED 25th JUNE DENMARK COPENHAGEN CONFIRMED (9th JULY) TBC TBC RESERVE 13th AUGUST TBC TBC PROVISIONAL 27th AUGUST TBC TBC PROVISIONAL 10th SEPTEMBER TBC TBC PROVISIONAL (24th SEPTEMBER) TBC TBC RESERVE Right then lets play the game of filling in the rest of Gp's. First of all put down all the countries where there has been a gp, where they are currently and possibilites of Gp being in a certain venue.

Personally I hope there is a German Gp rather than a Dutch Gp. Though, Holland does have speedway riders, they dont have a fan base. Unlike, Germany which is in the central of Europe meaning easy access for British, Polish, Czech fans and Danish. They have plenty of stadium to do it in. Anyone know the AufSchalke Arena ? Image haveing it in there. There was a proposed one last year.
