That's great news Steve. Can you indicate which parts of the country the other three are? -

That looks a good squad Steve. Is the Animal a definite yet? Any news on track venues and dates? -
GC, 9 ahead prior to Ht 14 and also after it! Magic won Ht 15 as expected and Barrie rode well to finish 2nd.

I went along as the weather forecast for Rye v the mighty Glasgow is questionnable. I'm glad I did as it was an enjoyable match with some good racing, determination and genuine track craft. David Mason was well 'magic'! Skilfully lining up opponents to overtake, riding different lines, looking for his team mate and was the fastest rider on show. The rest of the Hackney boys did well with Ben Hopwood well worth a mention. Brandon was unfortunate to be taken out of his 4th ride when he would have faced the also learning Ryan Blackwood who looked tidy but didn't have the pace but it was probably the right decision to help ensure three league points. Ben Taylor fought all night and must be a pleasure to watch at Hi Edge every week or so. Branford too in most races. Nicki Allot was Nicki! Dean Felton tried hard for few points. I thought it was a poor crowd and the entertainment certainly deserved more. Well done both sides.

Bryce Starks and Animal Fishback are my top choices. I'd also like Dylan Black, Joey Holt and Fast Eddie. Almost job done for you Steve! -

That's real good Steve and Mildenhall is a track you boys should enjoy. Good that Bryce and Mike are coming back. Any chance of Animal Fishback to scare the Brits? -
You both obviously devote a lot of time and effort for the good of speedway so it's good to hear you've apologised and we can all move on. Enjoy your speedway, Kelvin. I look forward to more nice posts from Sarah!

Nice to have a polite and explanatory reply from Steve which the Lapworths could learn much from. This is a family forum and such foul and offensive language is unacceptable and reflects very badly on you both. It's a shame as Sarah's postings had always been so good before. I hope you both now reflect and are ashamed.

No disrespect to the guys on the tour, but I think you boys need to send for reinforcements for the matches where you are the sole event. Tyson, the Fish or even Sudden Sam who could be your youngest heatleader! It would take the pressure of the team especially the youngsters and help maintain the Touring team's reputation for entertainment and competitive action. Good luck with rounding up some assistance and for the rest of the tour.
-
Thanks for the reply, Sandie. Steve is normally very good at responding so I had wondered why he hadn't posted much lately. Yes Tyson must do what will help him best. Would be good if he does a local meeting or two, enjoys winning some races and helps the boys wave the victory flag!
-
A big disappointment that Ronnie Correy has pulled out but I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the boys. My money is on the Hawks to make a triumphant return to the track. Don't forget the black and white helmet colour, Steve!
-
Steve, is Tyson Burmeister a possibility to boost your squad? Could be great for his confidence and experience and also great for your chances of winning a match or more now Ronnie Correy seems to have quietly pulled out. Surely worth a call if you haven't already.
-
You have to laugh! If a date is agreed for the USA to visit Stoke, I strongly suggest the announcement isn’t made by Stoke fixture specialist Malcolm “I can assure you” Vasey!
-
Hey Steve, is it Big Billy Janniro?
-
I don't think I've read mention of who will be preparing the track in 2011? Joe Evans sounded to do a very good job but with Barrie moving on ...
-
If Steve Ribbons was the problem, maybe Mr Vasey could ride to the rescue of his old club? Who needs you more Malcolm, Stoke (Tattum, Crabtree, Wooldridge) or Mildenhall?
-
SS says Dudley Promotion voted against Mildenhall returning and it was 4:3 against. How could you do so when you know what it's like not to have a track and it would have been another team to race against home and away?
-
What a pleasant surprise that CVS has signed Tyson, I hope he shows Mike Bowden what he's missing. No Plymouth on the itinary this time, then, Steve? I think Buxton is a first isn't it? Great scenery for your boys and an example of how to run NL level speedway. Ok, whose next on your team list?!!!
-
It would be good to see the Tommy "Gun" Allen back. David "Magic" Mason is definitely worth considering if fit.

Peterborough Panthers - Nl Or Closure?
Storming Norman replied to NeilWatson's topic in National League Speedway
Ancient Mariner, to put it in context, it appears that Coventry and Peterborough walked out of the AGM thinking the EL couldn't operate without them as the the Sky contract requires at least 8 teams. Having gone through all this pain and managed to get two clubs to move up, is it really surprising if the BSPA aren't now willing to welcome Coventry and Peterborough into the EL or PL with open arms? I assume to avoid this happening in the future, they want to show that such behaviour doesn't pay. Threats of legal action don't help relationships either. -

A cooling off year in the NL seems the best option and would be a huge boost to the NL. Have a year of bringing on some British youngsters, Rick. -
Aaaah a secret ballot. I feel even more sorry for Mike B then if people told him they'd support Plymouth for PL but didn't. At worst let Plymouth in to PL if they also keep running a NL team.
-
I agree it doesn't feel right that Plymouth have been turned down. But wasn't it a vote by all the Promoters that decided this? If so, was this a surprise to Mike Bowden or didn't he sound enough out prior to the AGM?
-
I'll be surprised if Malcom stays with Stoke in the NL. I'm pretty sure he was reported as saying he went there to test himself in the PL so why travel all that way for NL when he could be involved much closer to home? I guess Messrs Tattum, Crabtree and Wooldridge will be sufficient at NL level which should reduce costs.
-
I suspect I'm wasting my time posting but Jimmy "the Animal" Fishback should be on the touring list and signed by PL Promoters who want a showman who will meet his assessed average. Bryce Starks would be the 2nd name on Storming's list. I agree that Boogoloo would be fun and bring back some nice memories.
