  1. Then you'll just have same complaints there are now between prem and champ
  2. See above. Return it to competitive league with stand alone teams not reserve sides from prem and champ. Allow them to use British riders with champ averages under 4 or 5 with no age limit, allow some experienced guys in like used to with Armstrong, Atkin etc. Not a blueprint but it's a start
  3. Exactly, should really have Newcastle maybe Birmingham in NL this year. Eastbourne and Workington next you'd have great base to work from there
  4. Also good to see mentioned on the BBC sport website https://www.bbc.com/sport/speedway/61078406
  5. Best of luck to everyone for a successful relaunch. With no home advantage as a brand new track, despite Scunthorpe's away issues could be pretty close. I'll go 49-41
  6. Whilst not a fan of the "replica shirt" (last I looked saltire was on a blue background) the basic shirts n hoodies not too bad. As a rangers fan believe me in last couple years I've seen far worse merch lol
  7. That's because so many were rushed into the CL last season by the RS system. But the gap between the Thompson's, Palin etc and the next potential group is huge. The plan should be close that gap by improving NL not watering down the championship
  8. I'm not necessarily meaning world stars there were certainly plenty kids came through at 2nd string/ good reserve level. That Peterborough side for example had Howe, Allen, stead. Lee Richardson and Scott Nichols were breaking through
  9. I keep seeing that argument but to my mind the 2nd tier isn't as strong as for example the late 90s and riders came through aplenty in those days. Shouldn't it be the talented riders that can make a go of it? 70s before my time tbh
  10. All of whom proved last season not up to championship level. Throw in jpb into that as well
  11. Glasgow is a fair racetrack now, quite similar to NSS in its shape and preparation. Starkey and stormy should have their moments, complin might find track more to his liking than any others he's ridden so far. Might be trying to put lipstick on a pig but have to be hopeful
  12. Yeah Dickson and dick won the 2012 title. Which actually did more damage than any of the weak seasons before due to what had to layout in wages every week. See Workington as another to fall that way. I know where you're coming from but bringing in limits like that imo won't change anything. Dear god, Martin mckinna was barely a reserve
  13. Newcastle at ashfield last season was very entertaining actually, hence hope Barker guesting for diamonds. It doesn't matter what you do you'll always have weak teams. Believe me Glasgow were that weak team often despite one of the best no.1s the division has ever seen in Lawson and Parker!!!
  14. Yes, but the top 10 already have championship clubs. The point made was that the RS scheme should've been expanded. My point is that those below Bickley, Edwards and Atkins would've been the ones coming up and they are nowhere near ready
  15. Yeah, just the 4 former tigers in the side I think? Be entertaining I'm sure
  16. Seems even more ridiculous got this match on streaming when Edinburgh Berwick be far more competitive. If required given past ashfield experience assume be Barker then. Actually hope it is now, be more entertaining at least
  17. Be disappointed if we don't hit 60. Is Harris guesting for bwd? Wouldn't be surprised!! Guess fact 3 of our guys not had any competitive action this season so far might keep it competitive for a bit as diamonds be up to speed
  18. Don't think they're that bad actually tbh. Prefer it to last years that looked like a tracksuit. Maybe badge could be more prominent as would be on a race jacket but seen worse
  19. One of few tracks never been to, but when reading things like Bickley winning by half a lap...
  20. Looking at the mess that was the u21 semi final yesterday, do you think any of those riders not currently attached are anywhere near champ level? As that's the riders your be promoting
  21. Last season's premiership champions used guests from June after ulle got injured. Commonplace really
  22. What's the incentive for riders to improve beyond an 8 point average? What you'll have in that situation is average manipulation by riders as the ones who are close to the 8 know they'll be out a job the next season. I don't think it solves anything tbh, as powers that be must think too as scrapped it in prem
  23. Seen as was mentioned on the official British speedway network on Friday I assumed was fair game
