Riders pulling out these events is nothing new. Roynon "guested" in last year's pairs, and 2nd year it was held in Glasgow we had to run a B team as rye house couldn't scare up 2 riders fancied the journey. Thus ended Glasgow hosting the pairs. If started banning riders would be running more guests than ever before. The shared events don't hold same prestige did even 10 years ago imo. Not sure fans even that bothered with them anymore, I know I've not been to any in 7 or 8 years

Was going to say don't bomber and Ben still use the inflatable gear under their racesuit -

Honestly you're a waste of air mate. "I'm a Glasgow fan and our reserves aren't good enough". Every thread that's even slightly Glasgow related. Surprised it's no on the clrc or pairs thread. Embarrassment to all Glasgow fans on this forum -
Championship Pairs - Sep 1st

On 2023 averages Harris and basso got best form. Bit didn't ride very well together at Oxford in heat 15 letting Nichols past for 5-1 -
Edinburgh v Poole 25th August 2023 Championship.

Course you won't. We didn't get the points from Plymouth last season when was completed after cut off, no one ever has. Won't change just because it affects Poole this year -
Remember Ian brannan said on bsn something along the lines of Birmingham make play offs their potential signings would make them favourites? I'm thinking tarasenko might've been one of them. Our press release said another team tried to sign him but had visa issues

For our side to be 20 points down at any point in a meeting is awful imo. Even with R/R and nl guest. Yes I thought we'd lose bonus and yeah Claus was trying but is 5 points from 5 rides good enough? I'm sure they were all trying, never questioned that at all. But the riders scores bomber and Ben apart are not good enough and not what's expected from those in charge -

Awful performance, top nights entertainment. Fantastic racing, at least Ben and bomber showed up. Tom needs relieved of captaincy and away from no.5 pronto. Couple weeks for Lee to sort out his mechanical issues. Side note... What did ablitt score against Poole a few weeks ago again? Lol -

Another captain's performance so far. Sooner riding at 2 the better -

Sure we went to Plymouth after cut off last year don't recall them getting fined. But these things are forever changing I suppose so who knows lol -
Edinburgh v Poole 25th August 2023 Championship.

Yes but if you're Edinburgh you'd want that to be Plymouth and Birmingham, teams may beat. Also it would sort out play off picture better as wouldn't have situation missed meetings between those fighting for last position. Would the management committee prefer that or the Poole match as may sort out 1st and 2nd? Could be interesting -

Think only fined if don't complete by 31st October. Sure that's what happened to Workington -

Been that kind of day across central Scotland, dry and sunny at times but when the shorts hit it's a monsoon. Got drowned taking kids to school this morning. Must've known a risk would hit jist on start time but hoped not what it obviously is from those in attendance -

Might be more interested in how get it in before the cut off. Double header with Plymouth on 8th? But would Edinburgh rather that was Birmingham? Could affect top spot -

R/r and a weak replacement for ace be struggling to keep hold of the bonus. Not that it matters particularly but can't think why didn't get Kinsley once knew Ace be missing. -
Must be long odds on Craig cook showing up surely? Max clegg could end up being Edinburgh representative at this rate
-
It's odd that it's taken until now for it to crop up. Absolutely agree, really looking forward to Oxford Glasgow match to see tarasenko and boughen. Throw in both sides top 3s and it's got classic match all over it.
-
Has anyone really been that upset by the signing? The rule absolutely I'm baffled by it as well but don't think anyone "greeting" about it per se. Every team I'm sure would love a rider of tarasenko ability on a 5 in this league. I'm not their biggest fan but think few people looking for Poole fans to be annoyed for some kind of points scoring. It's just the usual money bags Glasgow chat when no-one knows what the deal is costing and as was mentioned his polish commitments are finished it's extra racing for him and money wouldn't otherwise have made. Would've been same if we'd signed boughen but Oxford don't get the same thing. Strange
-
Didn't Leon get an average riding for Poole? So would need to be smarzlik or dudek instead
-
But will be assessed in the champ as won't have achieved average at point of signing. I think. I mean surely his average isn't going to jump to over 9 before he's ridden a meeting? That would be bonkers
-
Here lies a question. Highly hypothetical but if there is a championship next season and tarasenko wants to ride in it for Glasgow. Will he still be on the 5 as not enough meetings for a real average or if close the loophole will he be on an assessed average based on prem?
-
From what I understand average doesn't kick in until 28th so long as declared before then it's fine
-
Yeah he's ridden 5 for Peterborough so shouldn't really be issue in champ. Good point. 2 really strong pairings that
