09/06/23 Edinburgh v Glasgow (CH)

Toms had a few poor armadale meetings now think help him without weakening any pairings. Plus Tom is clever enough to dovetail whatever lines Claus is riding -

Always assumed track conditions suited him better at heat 14 that won't in heat 8? -

I'd assume if took Paco's Birmingham meeting out the stats wouldn't look so rosy this year..and now he won't have heat 14 to win every week -

Trying to think of a Dane who took to armadale quickly. Remember Nicki P demolishing the fence, Henning bager came round for a wave after running lasts, Peter juul was awful and Leon madsen took one look and refused to sign for Glasgow. I think jesper Olsen might've been decent. -
Scunny v Redcar 02.06.2023 league
Jaizer replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Watched stream replay, team riding from both sides was shocking. Lost art nowadays. Great to see Connor riding with aggression again, needs to be riding regularly NDL will bring best out in him. On a side note did he pull out of the rising star program for prem? Seems odd bv had him no.8 all last season but went for mulford. Or was it an averages thing? -
Haven't seen nick Morris so poor at ashfield since he put josh Gs bike through the fence as a 15 year old. Is he average manipulating or what? Very poor
-
Least had couple of races, fair play to bowtell let it all hang out. Cracking ride from a kid that's "out his depth" though, hats off young man
-
If anyone other than sedgy wants to have a go and at least try and make a contest of it that he great. Not seen this poor an away performance for a long time
-
I'm no sure there's any pairing will work too well, they all want the same bit of track going to have incidents unfortunately..price pay for team of racers
-
@Gazc big news basso is riding you can let skidder know. Don't want him getting worked up about it
-
I've no doubt he's been about but it's an absolute non story people trying to create an issue where there is none. He hasn't been as good in prem this year he's felt wanted a change maybe. Riders change mechanics all the time.
-
In my mind a mentor is someone you look up to from a young age and aim to emulate. As mentioned before, that's not Richard Juul. I doubt he'd ever met the guy prior to signing in UK. Does Mitch Davey mentor cookie? I highly doubt it!!
-
Mentor? He was his mechanic

Looks another sunny day tomorrow although not as warm as was last few days, hopefully help with track prep. On track be disappointed not to hit 55, nick and sedgy apart pretty poor ashfield records all round. Even they aren't consistently good (see sedgy on Tuesday).

Very good looking side but would take a lot to get Wright out of Redcar I'd have thought. Might have had more chance getting Richie W on similar average as he was available with Leicester movin up. Certainly bailey or hume at reserve all season would've given a far more potent tail end

Given watched an NDL match where Blair passed complin at Berwick recently is that an improvement? I also don't see us going for hook, best score of 4 I think at ashfield

Glasgow Vs Redcar 2nd leg KOC QF 30th May

That's exactly my point. He'll probably do 8.64 home and away this year thus losing 0.5 of his average -

Personally the man he replaced. I understand reasons both moved on. Also as you'll read I never criticised Harris quite the opposite. The fact is Berwick is his favourite track and hit 13-15 every week. He won't do that at ashfield hence it's approx 0.5 that he'll lose. Just a simple fact -
It's like for like for 1 change I think, the points limit if make more than one. Don't see Lee hitting that. If anything will drop.
-
I take it Starkey's average hadn't dropped sufficiently to replace Lee?

Glasgow Vs Redcar 2nd leg KOC QF 30th May
Jaizer replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
What was always the problem is Harris on an inflated average from Berwick and Ben on an average I doubt he'll maintain. Harris has been very good and much better than I thought but he's always going to lose half a point at least not having a strong home track like he had last season. Could argue claus on a 5 negated that but doesn't take away from not having the out and out number 1 we really need -

Seriously confused by this ace chat. The kid got what paid 8/9 against scunny, 5 away at scunny and Redcar. That's way above expectations. He has one bad night and all of a sudden it's too soon? Ffs what utter drivel. Like the rest was caught out by a grippier than usual track. He's probably scored more than ablitt did the whole of last season. Ridiculous comments- 105 replies
