Hopefully Edinburgh get Poole (Berwick have Poole/Oxford in the KOC so would prefer a different team).
Must have changed the rules again as Poole and Oxford met in the semi final last year in the BSN trophy.
Workington and Berwick are in different groups so haven't met in the BSN trophy.
They met in the KOC and Workington would have still been eliminated even if Craig wasn't excluded.
We will just forget the fact Berwick number 1 was wiped out in heat 1 meaning they also raced at Edinburgh without a number 1.
Edinburgh might win at Glasgow tomorrow and still get through.
If Dan had been at Berwick, Edinburgh would still have needed something at Glasgow as they wouldn't have won tonight (possibly got the bonus point).
Both teams severely hampered by missing number ones (Berwick missed Peter last night also).
What I was saying was that various teams couldn't use an assessed average rider until he had a proper average. That went from 2 pointers through to 8 pointers in the top league.
I think it's good for young riders to get as much track time as possible so don't see the problem.
Have the rules been changed?
Remember people on about Berwick using Cairns last year and then others said they couldn't because he was on an assessed average.
Would it not just be a reduced facility anyway (even if tonights meeting was on).
Edinburgh said they looked at ways to get Dan to Poland but couldn't get him there on time (is that not the same problem Plymouth had last season and they had a reduced facility for Klindt).
Didn't see that coming especially with people saying this season that Edinburgh riders wouldn't guest at Berwick as they didn't like the track (except Grahn).
Was this rule known before the end of the season?
Berwick went out and won 2 meetings against Workington where it might have been better for next season to not do so (have Peter or Jonas scoring a lot less points keeping his average under 8 so they would have the option of keeping both).
Sure before the 2 Workington meetings Berwick had 3 riders over 8 point average but noone was above 8.2.
