  1. Iris, the crowd at the last Internationales were quite low. The stadium for the final Internationale in 1981 held on a Sunday in bright sunshine, after it had been originally postponed was extremely quite. I have to agree with you both the second division riders championship at Wimbledon were always extremely loud and colourful with tremendous atmosphere.
  2. I always remember the interval in the Levis For Feet meeting at Wimbledon in 1978 when Ole Olsen and some bunny girls had a one-lap race around the Wimbledon track on very small child pushbikes.
  3. I agree Chunky, the sudden death finals alongside the GP semis mean that a rider can become World Champion without winning a race, by making the GP finals consistently throughout the season even if they have scored 6 or 8 points during the 20 heats racing. Obviously, no-one knows how many points Bartosz may have scored in Vojens. But if rider points were solely accumulated over 20 heats, then current system via the semis and final, the GP point scores are significantly different. Using this method, the GP scores going into Torun are Lindgren 86; Lambert 85; Zmarzlik 84; Bewley 84; Holder 81; Vaculik 77; Fricke 71; Doyle 70; Madsen 68; Dudek 60; Woffinden 59; Michelsen 58; Janowski 49; Nilsson 38 and Thomsen 36. As, you can see from the GP scores several riders would be in with a chance of becoming World Champion - rather than Zmarzlik and Lindgren under the current GP scoring system. More importantly the best rider over the GP series (with race wins) would become World Champion.
  4. I would prefer if they scrapped the fast of the semis and final, and just gave the riders the point that they scored over 20 heats. This World champion would then be the best rider over the GP series. Currently riders can score big GP points after by having two goods rides in the semis and final after scoring 6 or 7 points from 20 heats. Using this scoring system the current top three GP rider are Bartosz Zmarzlik 43 pts; Dan Bewley 43 pts; and Jason Doyle 40 pts.
  5. Hi R&R it was a shame that I changed my mind and did pick my original choice for this GP Anders Thomsen. I will not do this mistake again next year I predict that by the end of the competition I will become a millionaire Thanks R&R for running this competition, and luck to all that remain. Your cheque is in the post
  6. Many thanks Norbold. This was an intresting programme. It was nice to see the old Wimbledon and Southampton tracks, alongside a slice of the Ove Fundin vs Bjorn Knutsson Golden Helmet match race at Southampton.
  7. Hi Iris123 I only edited the post after I had dug out the programme from my collection to show Jimmy's autograph. I brought the programme on eBay but it must have been signed by someone Japanese or knows how to write Japanese by yhe way the characters are written.
  8. Just got this programme purely by chance when researching the Internationale by purchasing numerous programmes to check heat results and times. It most likely only cost me about £1.
  9. In my Internationale programmes collection I do have one from 1970 that has Jimmy Ogisu signature.
  10. Hi Norbold I think I paid around £15--£20 for the programmes. But I have seen a excellent condition programme go for between £30-£50 which is surpringing for a vastly printed programme from 1961. Each copy has a unique number on the front cover.
  11. My favourite memorbilla is my full set of home and away Wimbledon programmes from my first season attending speedway live in 1976. Alongside a badge from every GBL and NNL team from that year.
  12. My favourite programmes is my complete collecton of Speddway -Wills-Internationale programmes that took me several years to obtain. The hardest one for me to obtain was the Harringay Final programme, as I kept being outbid. But nevertheless I collected them all in the end.
  13. Hi R&R I forgot to put more on my bet and have adjusted it. I played this game to put more or less but I forgot.
  14. Shame that the Wimbledon did not sign Scott as he rode Plough Lane like his home track. I still remember his 58.2 secs track record in 1978 when he was entering the 3rd bend before the other riders in the race were still riding bend 2.
  15. Bewley 2 - 4 Spread Streicher & Double Your Money, therefore, my bet is 1-3 £400 More Many thanks R&R for running the competition again this year.
  16. New Cross, West Ham, The original larger Wimbledon track, Haringey, King's Oak.
  17. Many thanks for the info prodons it was extremely nice too see the stadium, again. This episode prodons mentioned is also available to watch here https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6xac7p
  18. Pardons the 1980 test match was probably the best meeting I saw at Wimbledon. I was sitting on the 3rd and 4th bend in the seats that had the wooden front, with a Union Jack flag (could not find an England flag anyway) that was draped on the front and sounding my air horn. There are few things I wished to have seen at Wimbledon, such as Ronnie Moore ride the track and watched racing on the original larger Wimbledon race track. So if anyone knows how to built a TARDIS please let me know.
  19. As Chunky says I have never lost my interest in Wimbledon, if I was cut to cut my finger I would bleed red blood with yellow stars.
