  1. I heard Mads Hansen was a deal that nearly happened also
  2. If that’s true then that’s a great signing. Lynn were close to getting him last season before Kvech came in
  3. Last season he raced in League 2 for Polonia Pila, and anyone riding in that league the max assessed average they come in on is 4.5. Not sure if he’s changed club for 2025, but on the assumption he is still in League 2, I’m certain he’d come in on 4.5
  4. I’ve seen on other threads (can’t recall where) that someone kindly provided a link to all the confirmed signings in Poland, Sweden and Denmark. If someone has it, would they be able to drop it in this thread? Thanks in advance
  5. As per the 2024 Regulations Rasmus would come in on a 7.50 starting average if his previous one (7.86 - 2019) was reassessed. He has also stated previously that someone would have to pay serious money to get him back over to the UK. It does seem that Tolley is going balls to the wall this season, but maybe Jensen is a stretch too far. If I was Brummies fan, I’d be very happy with the rumoured lineup that looks very likely to happen. Not saying that it will win the league by any stretch of the imagination, but should provide entertainment and be competitive: 1. Musielak - 8.21 2. Rew - 5.67 3. Thorsell - 7.33 4. Nilsson - 6.00 5. Zagar - 7.2 6. Jepessen - 4.5 7. Edwards - RS Total - 38.91
  6. For all our wrongs, us boys in Norfolk do know a thing or two…😉
  7. League table: 1. Ipswich 2. Belle Vue 3. Sheffield 4. King’s Lynn 5. Oxford 6. Birmingham 7. Leicester Play-off Winner 1 - Ipswich Play-off Winner 2 - Belle Vue Grand Final Winner - Ipswich
  8. Funny how this post completely contradicts your one on the Sheffield thread
  9. But in a roundabout way they’ve just swapped Brennan for Rew and probably paid more on top. Should’ve just matched what Brennan was offered by Ipswich and saved a few quid
  10. Sheffield have announced their ticket price of £25. Birmingham is £24. Do we think Lynn will: a -remain the same? b - increase by £1? c - increase by £2? d - increase by more? Interested to see what people think. Would people pay £25, or is that getting to the point where it’s not a good value for money proposition anymore?
  11. When did Nilsson last ride here? I thought averages had to be reassessed after 4/5 years not sure on exact timeframe
  12. I’ve got starting averages as follows: 1. Musielak - 8.21 2. Jeppesen - 6.00 (reassessed) 3. Zagar - 7.2 (existing average from 2022) 4. Nilsson - 6.00 (reassessed) 5. Thorsell - 7.33 (existing average from 2019) 6. Rew - 5.67 7. Edwards - RS Total - 40.41 This means either Zagar or Thorsells existing average is going to have to be reassessed. Most likely Thorsell as his was achieved 5 years ago. If the rules remain the same as per 2024 regulations he will come in on a 6.00 also, meaning Birminghams final 1-7 would be like this: 1. Musielak - 8.21 2. Jeppesen - 6.00 3. Thorssell - 6.00 4. Nilsson - 6.00 5. Zagar - 7.2 6. Rew - 5.67 7. Edwards - RS Total - 39.08
  13. Can’t be that bad of an environment, Richard Lawson wanted to come back where he had a higher offer from Leicester. Ben Cook also had alternative offers on the table with higher offers. Ipswich wanted Kvech, but he chose Lynn. Need I say more…?
  14. A leopard never changes its spots… You know the inner working of King’s Lynn Stars and their financial position do you? Tolley has already plead poverty before last season even finished, wouldn’t fill me with the greatest of confidence that they will see out next season…
  15. And what about when the same reasons reappear next season? Say what you want about Buster/Lynn but at least it’s a stable environment. He might be out of a job come May…
  16. idiot hope so. Small world speedway and people don’t forget
  17. Whilst I agree with you in principle, the BV tail can be exposed just as much as Sheffield’s. Mulford will never make it at Premiership level; Zischke is coming back from a horror crash and has barely turned a wheel in the top league; and they’re replacing a 7 point rider in B Cook with his brother or Rew. Whoever his replacement is, and how they go this season is the deciding factor in my opinion. Can Kurtz, Bewley and Lidsey carry them to 35-40 points week in week out?
  18. Can Kvech become the 9-point rider Fricke is though? That is the only question mark, he certainly has the ability to…
  19. And there isn’t elite riders in that league?
  20. My thoughts regarding our 1-7 below: B Cook - Obviously on a massive upward trajectory if ‘24 is anything to go by. I think riding in Poland will benefit him competing against top guys every week. Going to be a different challenge this year as he doesn’t have 2 senior heat leaders above him. I think he may struggle initially especially with his riding position, but once he comes out of No. 1 and into 3-4 he will be very consistent home and away. 8/10 signing. N K Iversen - The back end of 2024 was insane, he had no right to be rolling back the years like that. I wouldn’t expect him to carry on in the same manner though, but this year I don’t think he’s expected or will be needed to step up as much. As long as he stays steady gets his 6-7 points consistently home and away he’s certainly done his job. 8/10 signing. N Klindt - I like Nicolai, he’s an honest and open guy who is genuinely passionate about Kings Lynn and wants the club to succeed. Think that can be seen last year when he made a few surprise appearances when out injured. However, he is coming back from another truly horrendous injury. We all know it’s not just the physical side of it, it’s the mental too. Will he be as aggressive? will he attempt the manoeuvres he would’ve before? Personally, I think it might just have been one big injury too many. That being said, he is the most likely to drop down to reserve after the first average changes, and like anyone in the team he should be a trump there. 7/10 signing. J Kvech - What a man this guy is. Came in last season and completely turned our season around. He took to Saddlebow Road like a duck to water. His away scores weren’t the best and he would be the first to admit that. However, this season that should change as he’s now seen everywhere at least once. Will be a big year for Jan, and I think we all expect him to step up and be the 8.00 rider we know he’s capable of being. 10/10 signing. R Lawson - Great to have him back. Again like Nicolai, he calls the AFA home. A No. 1 around Lynn, and probably one of the most consistent performers you could ask for. Will never let you down and is a great guy to have around. 9/10 signing. C Harris - Over 10 years in the making getting this guy to Lynn. A speedway legend in every sense of the word. Mr Entertainment, will do the unthinkable and will bring excitement. Starting at reserve is a huge bonus, and should score big points to ensure we get off to a good start of the season. 9/10 signing. A Boughen - The rising star with highest ceiling, but will he fulfil his potential? I don’t think Rob is putting too much pressure on young Ashton, and with the way the team is built there shouldn’t be. If he can score 4-5 at home and 2-3 away, he’s more than done his job. Local lad as well, knows the track inside out which helps. With no expectation on him, I’m sure he will get over his confident issues and he can just go out there and enjoy riding. 8/10 signing.
