Ipswich v Sheffield 4th September
StarBoy replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Funny how we completed our league fixtures ahead of you then… the record books also state you were the ones who cancelled a fixture between us this season not the other way round. -
Zischke rode well tbf to him. Deserved more than his 5 points from 5 rides suggests. On another night he might’ve scored 8/9 as he was on the pace throughout. Lidsey was the real let down and he was the key. Expected a far, far better night given his previous record around the AFA. Prior to yesterday, he had scored a very impressive 46 from 25 races in his last 5 visits for an average of 7.36. That swing was the difference.

I thought he’d come in as a new assessed rider as he hasn’t ridden here permanently since 2019 (barring the 6 meetings you pointed out in your post in 2023). Who knows, they change the regulations at their own will anyway…

Lineups declared KING’S LYNN: Jan Kvech, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Chris Harris, Richard Lawson, Nicolai Klindt, Ben Cook, Luke Harrison. BELLE VUE: Brady Kurtz, Norick Blodorn, Jaimon Lidsey, Zach Cook, Dan Bewley, Tate Zischke, Jake Mulford. I think the Stars will win this one (minus any mechanical gremlins) and collect the bonus point. 49(91) - 41(89)

I’ve been quite disappointed with Kvech this year, thought he would kick on massively and at least average 7.5. If he has a proper No. 1 ahead of him then yes, keep him. Keep Cook if there’s a way he can be No. 2 or No. 4. Although I fear with his lowered average he’ll be back at BV. Klindt is guaranteed because he has a testimonial at Lynn next year. I think they’ll start the season with Harrison and then when Cooper Rushen turns 16 he’ll be the Rising Star. IMO the team only needs 2 changes - an out-and-out No. 1 and then a weaker reserve than we’ve had this year. (Following team is based on current averages): 1. 8.0 rider - Lambert? (7.8) Or someone else 2. N Klindt - 6.46 3. C Harris - 6.82 (6.65) 4. R Lawson - 6.8 (6.63) 5. J Kvech - 6.82 6. A Rowe - 5.55 (5.41) 7. L Harrison / C Rushen - RS Team total - 40.45 (39.77)

Did any Brummies riders even average 6 this season?

King’s Lynn Stars vs Oxford Spires - 18.08.25

Describing that Tungate rode last night is a bit of an exaggeration. Me personally from watching on TNT is that he had no interest in riding in heat 3, hence his lack of frustration from being disqualified. If that was for Rybnik he would’ve been a lot more animated… -
Rew then…

I thought it was common knowledge that he didn’t bail and had only signed a short-term deal…

Where the track required extensive work due to the downpour in the afternoon. If it was a normal evening it would’ve been done and dusted a lot earlier… -
He’s been a pretty loyal servant to Lynn the last 4 years (with a little bit of time spent with Oxford in 2024).

A rare home Thursday race night for the Stars in 2025 with the perfect opportunity to collect 3 points. After the surprise win on Monday at Perry Barr (hold my hands up did not expect Lewi Kerr to be our saviour), Lynn must come into this one fully expecting a convincing win. Ben Cook is due to make his second comeback at reserve this time and he should fill his boots. Musielak and Zagar will put up some resistance, but the Stars should have far too much to see them reach 50 points easily. I’m going with a 54-36 scoreline. KLS 1. Kvech - 11 (5) 2. Iversen - 7 (4) 3. Harris - 7 (4) 4. Lawson - 10 (5) 5. Klindt - 6 (4) 6. Cook - 11 (5) 7. Harrison - 2 (3) Total - 54 BB 1. Musielak - 12 (6) 2. Jeppesen - 3 (4) 3. Rew - 4 (4) 4. Castagna - 1 (3) 5. Zagar - 9 (5) 6. Barker - 6 (5) 7. Hagon - 1 (3) Total - 36

Because he’s not good enough. When you’re going from Harris, Kvech and Klindt all at reserve consistently scoring 10+, Kerr is just not in the same conversation. The opportunity was there to get Ellis or D Thompson in as guest who would’ve added some firepower to reserve. It just makes me laugh how Rob says he wants the team to win every remaining fixture, however the promotion haven’t got out of their way to secure a guest to contribute to that. Kerr will score 4(4) tomorrow - 2, 0, 1, 2 -

Very much dependent on who the guest for Cook is. If we can get Ellis or D Thompson we stand half a chance of grabbing a result -
It’s funny, because when you speak to different riders they all say they reach their primes at different ages - some are late 20’s other are mid 30’s
