  1. Kemp? He'd be no.1 for me and then the same order
  2. Will only be 1 meeting on Monday and then new averages come in. But I see your point, does make more sense Artem is wasted in ht8, but now with Anders could pick up a 4-2...?
  3. I think Klindt is about to move to 2nd in the averages come 1st July so if we are running R/R only he can take one
  4. Personally, imo I don't think the changes are too bad at all. Obviously we knew Simon Lambert was coming in (that was a given), but for Buster to actually be proactive and get Rowe in for a struggling Jason Edwards is quite forward thinking. I rate him as probably the 2nd or 3rd best RS so it's quite a coup tbh. I don't know what Jakobsen was on (£), but that certainly has relieved some budgetary issues. The unfortunate thing is we still have a massive hole at No.5, and as good as Laguta is and Klindt has been recently you can only potentially rely on them to get 6 to cover MPT, especially when I think Klindt is about to move to 2nd in the averages so only he can take a ride if we use R/R. I wouldn't be comfortable running guests either, but either way our season is already over so what's the difference. Kye will definitely find it hard at 2 if that's where he's going, but that is the price we pay by getting in Laguta I suppose
  5. March/April 2024 in the Championship
  6. The funds that Buster now has to put in Lynn as a certain crybaby didn't get what he wanted and the fact we have 2 gaping holes and Peterborough have a full 1-7
  7. I posted this in the king's Lynn thread for riders we could potentially look at. I guess the same applies to you guys: Other possible riders to look at from the Championship and promote: - Jye Etheridge - Jonas Knudsen - Paco Castanga - Lasse Fredriksen - Claus Vissing - Marcin Nowak - Connor Mountain
  8. I respect your comparison, however, it's not entirely accurate as built into my contract is a fixed sum of money each month I will be paid. Unlike other riders (Artem) Josh wasn't on a guarantee/minimum per meeting so his wage would fluctuate anyway depending on his performance. Also, you probably have to see if from Busters point of view. It wasn't his team, it wasn't his money, but now it is. From a business point of view, I can see why Buster tried to negotiate with him to reduce his wages. You've now got an unproven, unfit rider who has been injured for 2 months coming back into the team and you're expected to pay him the same as previously agreed without knowing if he's capable of riding to the previous standard? I agree in some instance if Josh proved that he was at the same level as before then a further renegotiation could take place to honour his original deal.
  9. Totally agree BB. I sit in the grandstand (posh I know) and I counted at least 500 on bends 1, 2, 3 & 4 and the back straight against Wolves. Probably another 200 in the grandstand as well as another 250-350 in the home straight stand and general floaters.
  10. But if you get crowds of 800-1000 in the championship that is far more sustainable than the prem.
  11. Unfortunately, I think you're right. I think given the dwindling crowd levels we are much better suited to the championship, plus financial worries shouldn't be a concern
  12. You do love a good conspiracy don't you. Please don't take that the wrong way, because I do agree with you
  13. Think it's probably because Alex and Jakobsen aren't here anymore. Don't think, from what I've heard he saw eye-to-eye with the rest of team, but he was good friends with those 2 they both went over to Australia and stayed within his family over the winter
  14. I'm not necessarily saying he will purchase the club, but I don't think it will be the end of his sponsorship package
  15. Trust me, we're annoyed. However, if that's the attitude he wants to have then it's better he's not in the team. Although we're not picking up wins, the team morale and bond between the riders seems good at present. Josh would have come in, probably demanded the captaincy backed and disrupted the good vibes around the team at present, so probably for the best
  16. http://www.kingslynn-speedway.com/news.php?extend.31372 Club has acknowledged Pickering's exit. Doesn't mention any news of possible incomings...
  17. Personally, I don't think we've seen the end of Alex at Lynn. His reasons for leaving were purely personal, and I think, given the opportunity and him sorting out things away from the club he will be back in some capacity
  18. Think he might scrape 10 if he gets 6 rides from a tac/sub
  19. Don't think Peterborough fans would be best pleased being referred to as Norfolk. Might have to go along the route of Fen Flyers
  20. Again, agreed. The prestige and honour of winning the Premiership is far watered-down now. I accepted that long ago, however, getting to see Laguta every week is enough entertainment for me
  21. Don't know whether he has improved at all since last season at Sheffield, as I don't get to catch much Championship speedway but he's worth as much a go as the other names touted
  22. Other possible riders to look at from the Championship and promote: - Kye Etheridge - Jonas Knudsen - Paco Castanga - Lasse Fredriksen - Claus Vissing - Marcin Nowak
  23. I keep banging the Conor Mountain drum, but I do feel he deserves another crack at the top level. Being a local lad as well it would be a romantic story
