  1. Whilst I respect Buster for honouring the Laguta deal, he didn't have to I know and it is a big commitment for him to make, the side now has 2 gaping holes in it, which on a good night and what was expected of them should of been scoring 15-17 points between them, especially at home. If you're going to get a Simon Lambert and Ben Barker type rider in to replace them you're looking at 8 max between them and that's me being optimistic. In what was already a losing side loosing a further 7-9 points a meeting means we will be lucky to score 30 each meeting. I know Buster has a strict budget, but he has called on loyal fans to support the club more than ever, realistically that isn't going to happen if he's stringing together team that is getting pumped by 20-30 points week in week out. I can stand losing, I've become accustom to it, the one thing I ask is that we are competitive. With the greatest respect to SL and BB, both being brilliant servants to British speedway the overwhelming majority of supporters aren't going to pay £22 to see that.
  2. Wishful thinking I know BB. As much as I respect Simon Lambert and can't fault the effort he puts in, seeing 2 bargain basement signings brought into the team for JP and FJ is really going to turn people off even more. The crowds at present aren't sustainable and if 2 lower calibre riders are coming in I can see levels start to dwindle more and more. You know how the saying goes "you got to spend money to make money". I know the season is write off now, but if Buster invested into 2 riders that people could get behind if may place more bums in seats and increase the budget for next season... Similar to last year with Klindt and Jakobsen, I know they haven't necessarily worked out the way in which we hoped/expected but I'm sure they definitely lifted crowd levels...
  3. What was Bachelor like when you had him in 21'? See he had a GSA of 5.67, does that tell the whole story? See he's back in the UK with Birmingham. Just thinking as an alternative to Pickering because as a hopeless romantic Lynn fan I'd love to see him back with us.
  4. That is correct. Lynn has their the same. Riding order has been shuffled. I can imagine they're anticipating having to make a change for MPT as he's likely to be out for around 6 weeks. Could be seeing 2 new faces as it seems like Pickering is back off to Sheffield. I have this as our new rider order with some bargain replacements coming in: 1. AL 2. MPT replacement 3. TJ 4. FJ replacement 5. NK 6. KT 7. JE
  5. Big ask Tarasenko riding at 5 on his debut. However, he should enjoy the NSS circuit. Going for a win for BV 54-36, Tarasenko to score 8+2
  6. If we are going to run RR it has to be for MPT. If it's for Jakobsen again we are so much weaker
  7. 2018? Finished top of the league, play off runners up and KO cup runners up. If that doesn't scream competitiveness I don't know what does...
  8. Current GSA declaration has Danny 0.8 over Jakobsens enhanced 5%. Riss might be ok. If he could pick up 5-6 points he's done his job
  9. If Pickering is back in the fold and we can go R/R for MPT then I think we stand a fair chance
  10. He let the BSN crowd in when it was Artem's debut against Sheffield...
  11. We are all aware that KL is Buster's baby, his one true love. You don't think that he would choose to invest more in the club that he cares about more? I can see why he don't want to spend his own "hard earned cash" on a Peterborough team where there is an all talk sponsor who hasn't really if we're being honest brought anything to the table after all the hype. It could be said that Buster has invested more into Peterborough this season already than he will at KL "it was me who did the deal with Nicki Pedersen to race at No.1, which unfortunately went wrong after one race".
  12. Alex walked away due to personal reasons which are far greater than speedway
  13. Really need Pickering back in the side at 2 and R/R for MPT on Monday with AL able to take a ride
  14. Good meeting the night with the Stars coming out of it with a well deserved win. Things are starting to look positive, although realistically I think the playoffs are out of reach. Crowd was poor tonight, which was a shame as people missed out on some fantastic racing. Hopefully getting a W on the board entices some people back in, although with the next home meeting being televised think levels may be low again. Nevertheless, Laguta showed his class (again), I would urge people just to come and see him whilst we've still got him. 'use it or lose it' type scenario with him and this one is factual. Klindt proved that he does have what it takes to be a genuine heat leader, making electric starts. TJ and Kye put in a solid effort too, with Kye deserving much more than his 7 rides suggests. Jason, unfortunately had one of them nights again at home - if Anders Rows was an option we should certainly be looking at him. MPT incident looked nasty, hope he's ok. I would suggest R/R would be a good option on Monday, everyone would be able to take a ride, including Laguta depending on what happens with filling Jakobsens spot...
  15. Saw you edited, I've got us 0.9 under with Pickering back in the fold, based on most recent green sheet declaration.
  16. No Rory Schelin for Wolves tonight either. R/R in operation with rest of team able to cover his rides. That could be problematic as he only scored 4+1 back in April.
  17. Is that including Monday at BV? I see they haven't updated the rolling averages on the SGB website following that meeting.
  18. I know it is. I posted that before it was officially confirmed based on the preview with Jakobsen in the team yesterday.
  19. Totally agree. I don't think that will happen though
  20. I think you'll definitely see Lynn at tapes as Buster makes a small fortune as stadium owner and renting it out for Bangers/Stocks. Whether they'll be in the premiership or not is another question...
  21. Just a sorry state of affairs for British speedway. I don't see riders being 'forced' to leave their Swedish commitments. Aspirations to join Poland as a leading speedway nation are just farcical
  22. I don't think the club is in as much financial crisis as to what Buster is making out. Alex gave his word that he has left the club financially stable and I for one believe him - as unlike others he has actually been open, transparent and willing to engage with supporters.
  23. Won't be long until Tarasenko leaves Peterborough as well (if he even makes it over here). Seems like the GKM Grudziadz mafia are having their way this season. Surprised they haven't stopped Fricke already as well.
