Should be a comfortable home win... Doyle will probably return to form in style, Emil very unlikely to drop points and I think Rew will have a good night... If King and Hume can chip in like they tend to do at home, then it really won't matter if Riss doesn't score... 51-39

Leicester vs Kings Lynn 17/7/23
MP78 replied to Lenny Lion's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Key thing here though is confidence and momentum... and Leicester have it abundance right now. Personally I think Laguta will do well to get to 10 from 5 rides... Potential for 3 races vs Fricke, another with Bomber likely all over him and Lawson no slouch, so as much as it would be great as a spectacle to be close, I can't see it. -
When are the next averages out that would change Riss' existing average? Anyone know how much it is likely to drop? If a change is going to be made, can't help feeling it needs to be fairly pronto to take advantage of what he is on now.

Just realised that we are on eurosport at BV on monday... Surely public floggings are outlawed in this day and age
-
If Bewley is ok after his off on Monday and Kurtz goes as well as he can do at foxhall, then I’m inclined to think that the Aces will nick it
-
Louis on Radio Suffolk, said he wouldn’t rule out team changes, but any would have to happen quickly… so, we shall see…
-
Personally I would stick with Rew... he's only going to get better as he continues to both ride foxhall more and visit the opposition tracks again... I wouldn't be adverse to Batch coming in for Riss, you know he has it in him to upset the oppositions heat leaders, so maybe worth a punt. I'd still consider another change at RS and I know Connor Bailey has been mentioned before, so why not try him?

King and Riss need to come to the party or this could be mighty embarrassing for the Witches
-
Over 4 I think

Watching Riss last night was a worry… how long will he be at 6.14 in the averages? Do Ipswich need to cash in and replace him soon so they have more to play with? Although realise there probably isn’t a lot out there…

I wondered the same…

Sheffield v Ipswich 15th June (A fixture)
MP78 replied to InTheDeepStuff's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think the Witches have a chance of keeping this close… if the 3 heat leaders are dialled in then you’ve got to think they’ll get around 32 or 33 points… If Rew gets to grips with the track quickly then he could get 6 or 7 from reserve, so looking for a handful of points from Barker and Hume… it’s doable for sure, but a couple of big ‘ifs’ -
A little underwhelming, but if he offers a slightly better points return, then that can only be a good thing… In terms of giving the fans something to get excited about - opportunity missed.

Yes on Eurosport

Sorry total lie… Tigers vs Witches is on BSN on Thursday

So realistically the only likely change/s is swapping out Thompson and getting Riss back in the team after the 28 days are up, which must be middle of next week? After that, we hope for the best… although Sheffield away looks very daunting!
-
Interesting interview with Chris Louis on Radio Suffolk just now… he didn’t rule out team changes, so I guess time will tell…
-
I really hope you are right… who knows, Rew might take to the track quickly and if as you say King scores well, then you never know… fingers crossed!
-
With Bewley and Kurtz, the Aces have a pair of riders who can hang with Doyle and Emil in 13 & 15 (and their other programmed rides), so for the sake of morale, I really hope the Witches don’t get beaten too badly at NSS

Leicester vs Ippo KoC QF 2nd Leg 17/04/23

Is this on local radio tonight does anyone know? -
If there is a big name coming in at number 5, I imagine for PR purposes they will get any signings that may be perceived less than favourably out now and save a good one until last? Personally, I think Batch will be in and I’m ok with that… despite his indifferent form, he can still go out and pull big races out of the bag, plus if he’s at number 2 he should have heat 8 in the bag more often than not. I’d pass on Riss, not keen on that average and like others have said go with Hans and leave a tidy amount for that long sought after strong heat leader. Just my thoughts and I know there are so many factors at play that make building a team that suits all very difficult
