I mistakenly thought that speedway supporters were mostly 'mature'. Certainly, in my experience of many tracks, it is the over 50s that keep attendances up. If you read many of the comments on here, it seems that there are a handful of 'immature' young voices who may not even take in as many meetings in person, yet still consider themselves to be experts and privy to 'the real truth' in all speedway matters. Please, gentlemen (term used loosely), grow up and stick to reasoned debates instead of 'football hooligan' type responses. Back to the speedway......................... Nobody from the Witches 'bailed'. There was a clear qualification...points scored (incl bonus) in meeting before nominated heat 15. Ipswich riders complied but Brummies top 3 did not.

When I arrived at 7:30 they had sold out of programmes and had also run out of 'concession' re-admission tickets, crowd more than they had expected.

I hear this so often. You, almost certainly, also made some wise decisions along the way. Many who spent all of their earnings instead of thinking of a private pension, are now supported by the state while those who used their own money to plan ahead are now ignored by the state. The 'luck' and 'good fortune' is experienced by those who spent their money and now need government support.

It's not just Poole, it's not just speedway. This is a result of giving the sadder individuals amongst us the freedom to spout via social media. In previous eras they would have been moaning alone or in small groups of sad moaners and been ignored by most of society. Today, social media gives them an equal voice.
