  1. Brilliant team effort from the Monarchs, gives us a good boost towards the play offs. The only thing more shambolic than Simon Lambert, is that the NL meeting wasn’t streamed. Surely they could have left a camera running for that match?
  2. Polis complained about the size and shape of the track because he hadn’t ridden anything like it since his younger days. The majority of home and away riders have praised the track at Armadale this season. Gordon Campbell puts in a lot of hours and does a great job of preparing it every week. Bowtell locked up and Jordy had no where to go, that was nothing to do with the track. I do think all 4 would have been reasonable though.
  3. Plymouth fans were brilliant tonight, Klindt and Nicholls certainly gave them something to cheer about. Good win for the Monarchs, there is more to come from this team.
  4. If you’ve seen some of his suggestions on here, you would understand how brutal that combination would be.
  5. It’s Glasgow’s prerogative to spend what they want, I’m not disputing that. It’s ruined the league by forcing other clubs to live outwith their means, or they just accept that they’re only making up the numbers. Rider demands have went through the roof since Glasgow started throwing money about. Clubs either need to pay wages they can’t afford, or field a non competitive team… it’s unsustainable for the league.
  6. That’s because we don’t chuck a £10k sign-on fee at them… they’ve ruined the league with their ‘win at all costs’ mentality, other clubs can’t keep up with the money they throw around.
  7. It has certainly helped massively having him at reserve, but it hasn’t been the case in every meeting. He missed Berwick away and only scored 9 at Plymouth and Glasgow (SC). The team was built to have a strong reserve and whilst Jonatan won’t score the same, we will have a better balance to us. KO Cup doesn’t count towards rolling averages. He’s currently on 8.85 with one more meeting to ride before he gets an official average.
  8. Whilst we don’t have an out and out number 1, VP and Sedgy are more than capable heat leaders. If we can replace Oskar with another heat leader, backed up by Kye and Paco at 2&4 then that’s a strong top 5. Jonatan is starting to show his potential, and could be at reserve all year. Depending on what route we go down, we could have another strong reserve in beside him… I’d certainly say that is having the foundations of a great team - if we make the right signings.
  9. Rotten? We’ve won at Ashfield, ran Berwick and Plymouth close away. Every meeting bar the Glasgow (A) BSN match has been a last heat decider. We gifted Poole the win last week but we are far from rotten. We’ve got the foundation of a great team, if we can get the Oskar and Max replacements right then we will be challenging.
  10. How do you know McGurk and Marson weren’t asked? We certainly haven’t given up on this tie or the season.
  11. We’ve given up on the tie by being forced to redeclare without Max? 😂 I think we will be confident of progressing with our current 5 + Mark. He’s earned the opportunity by top scoring in the last academy match, even if it is too soon for him.
  12. Very surprising from the Berwick promotion. It would be more understandable if these meetings were months apart, but two local-ish derbies in a row is madness imo. Hopefully it doesn’t affect the numbers through the gate. It’s also hardly exciting for the regular BSN viewer to watch the same track two weeks on the bounce.
  13. BSN is a great service but their match selections are mind boggling sometimes.
  14. I’d imagine that the money Glasgow were chucking at him is why he didn’t want to sign for Poole.
  15. Delay tactics until VP gets an official average.
